Los Angeles Dodgers @Dodgers 8m8 minutes ago Today's #Dodgers lineup: Rollins SS Kendrick 2B Gonzalez 1B Ethier RF Grandal C Crawford LF Callaspo 3B Pederson CF Latos P #whiff ----------------------------- Hard to make much of anything of the lineup because the starter may not even be there for one complete time through. The most he has thrown in any minor league appearance is 42 pitches (2 1/3 innings)
Ran into some big time Dodger fans last night...quite a rarity in NJ. Talked for hours. They subscribe to the LA Times and said they write in all the time. What I found somewhat surpring (although not totally), is that they wanted DBB gone and were OK with a Puig move. Both thought Peralta weak, as I do. I said I found Kenley increasingly scary. One agreed, the other said he thought he was all right, a one run lead not enough, but his physical problems are worse than we know about. Interesting to meet two rabid fans here. Most people when you tell them you're not a NYY or Met fan, respond with "you must be born in or from Brooklyn", when the truth is, most Brooklynites from back then hate the LAD...and O'Malley. Wrongly, of course.
I met a Dodgers fan in NYC last weekend and he said he'd trade Puig for Hamels so I changed the subject.
Leake being great, of course. Never fails. Always the superb signing late in the year... Vinny with the dress down stats on Latos. Depressing.
There's actually a Dodger fan who really knows his stuff at the pizza place I go to. He's older, maybe in his 60's. Often consider recommending this site to him but some folks don't like the internet all that much.
Rollins offense has been what it is, but I don't know how many times I can state how nice it is to have his defense at short. We had low standards due to Hanley as far as defense goes but still.
Latos leads the league in WP. With Grandal in there, he doesn't have to worry about giving up that lead.
