You mean KKemp as the purposeful motivator, or just a collateral result of that whining period?

No doubt. My supervisor on the job years ago told me, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"...so I complained and they put me in charge of the boondocks. Took me years to get back where the action was; doesn't always turn out that way.
IMO, it does seem a little counterproductive for a guy campaigning for getting CF back, motivates DBB to put another player there instead. Ha!
    I shoulda' had a V-8...

It may have reminded DBB that the best guy out there should be playing CF.
Matt Kemp believes himself to be the best guy out there.
Donnie had to be reminded of that, so he put his best guy out there.
Kemp being the sly cat that he is really just wanted RF cleared for him to get a chance to shine.
Stuck in LF his stock was taking a hit since it takes away the boon of his arm on defense.
And it makes his offensive struggles more pronounced.
But in RF he feels at home and it may be what he needs to play happy and tranquil.
