Yeah, the 6th is too early to surmise that he was only bunting as a cheap way to break up a no-hitter. With four innings to go, that's still plenty of time to play to your strengths to try to win the game -- which is exactly what happened.

When you're one swing from tying the game anything goes, regardless of the inning.

I'm getting sick of these unwritten rules.

I used to be okay with not bunting, and I'd be pissed if that happened to Clayton,

But he did what he did to win the game and throw Verlander off his. It worked.

Win the game. Fuck the "unwritten rules".

I'm not feeling too good about tonight's matchup. Ryu has been hit pretty hard by the Mets in the past. I wish Maeda was available to start - he's been more effective against them. Having taken the first three, I could see the team mailing this one in, while the Mets may be motivated either by their perception of a Puig slight yesterday or simply to avoid the four-game sweep. Meanwhile, Matz has shut the Dodgers down previously, although he's yet to face Cody, Corey, and CT.

    dear wilmer, i agree...
32 seconds to get around the bases -- most of it spent between the batters box and 1b -- is a bit excessive
i don't blame you for getting upset, because when your team isn't playing well it's easy to get frustrated
but you say puig disrespected you... well yeah, he did...
but think about it from his perspective...
constantly dogged (right or wrong) about underachieving/not playing up to his ability
standing on deck, hoping to get a chance to break the game open...
and then the opposing manager --- that's your manager wilmer -- chooses to walk a fat .215 hitter so he can face you instead
what kind of respect is that?
again, puig's waltz around the bases was a bit excessive
but it's hard to blame him tbh
if you guys want to throw at puig tonight, i'll understand
but here's a better way to get him to stop with the on-the-field antics...
tell you pitchers to pitch better
    i hope this helps
you seem like a good dude wilmer
no one will ever forget your tearful reaction to reportedly being traded a couple of years ago
you're just frustrated with the way your team has been playing lately
    i get that
    just take a step back

    you are correct sir!

Wilmer Flores was upset that Yasiel Puig admired his homer. "I told
him to run the bases." What did Puig say? “He said, Fuck you."

Yeah, I thought of that. It might be great for him, but horrific for some if he were to check out there. Like the kids. The team.
After the initial grief, it would be fodder for every jerkoff comic at the clubs.
    Guess you're right.

That's back-to-back games of the Rockies getting walloped, at home. Is ARI the team that's going to push us down the stretch?

Mike Lowell on Puig: "it's one thing when you're hitting .340 and are the talk of the town. But then you're hitting .220 the next year and can't get away with those antics"

    What?

Fake News is real. Puig had like a .380 OBP and .460 slugging in his second season, with a .280 BA. And great defense.

    Lies. Lies. Lies.

I'm as critical of Puig as anyone. But the media has created this lie where he was good for 3 months in 2013 and then sucked.

Nah, when he cried, he was really disrespecting the game- big time.
Everyone knows- even movie people, that there's no crying in baseball.
None whatsoever. Only kids, if they get beaned. Or get in a game fight and get the shit beat out of them. Or if someone dies at a game...
People who live in glass houses....

Will Matz do it right or throw behind him like Thor did and get tossed? Either way, not sure Puig is the guy you want charging pissed if you're a pitcher with an agenda. I doubt he'd be a whiny pKussy like Piazza.

Seager was scheduled for a day off and it's better now than this weekend but I'm sure you knew this. Need to get CT back to his old new self.
