Things are not sounding good in regards to Ryu as he is back to flat ground throwing. I'm starting to get the feeling that we may have seen the last of Ryu. Just setback after setback after setback with him.
Stripling was sent to EST to limit his innings and hopefully work on some of his control issues that had begun to creep up on him.

Have certainly been extra-careful with Ryu.
Latest developments regarding JDL are encouraging tho, and Montas another option

That's what I said at the start of the season, that we may not see Ryu back in any capacity. We should have anticipated this in the off season or at least have a contingency in place.

In his rehab starts, his MPH seems to be there, but his rebounding is fucking terrible. His future may be in the pen without back2back day availability. Not a great future for a guy who was normally not very good in the first inning.

They did have a contingency in place, they actually had many. The rotation was Kershaw, Kazmir, Maeda, Wood and Anderson. They also had Montas, Bolsinger and Frias to fill in until a potential May arrival for Ryu and/or June/July for McCarthy. Then Montas got hurt, then Anderson, then Bolsinger, then Frias and finally Wood. They then dipped into solid reserve options of Stripling and Urias. Their contingency plans were better ones than probably any other team in the league. They've just been decimated by the injury bug.

Can he hit his free throws? Any 3-point ability?

Jose De Leon in his tune up in AAA... 3 IP, 6 K... nothing else. PLEASE STAY HEALTHY.
Numbers on the year in two starts 8 IP, 15 K, 1 H, 1 BB. I'm wondering if they worked on his secondary stuff in EST early as he has been downright dominant.

Looking over everything and with the way the organization has handled others in the past, Holmes may be looking at a promotion here soon. He spent the full year in LoA last year, but I have a hard time believing that he will spend the whole time in HiA this season. I think Shibuya will just be a place setter for him for a few more starts(4-6 games), then you should see Holmes get a taste of AA before potentially a near full year there next season.

Brock Stewart struggled with command today but still put up a CG (7 inning game) and 1 run allowed..... his ERA went up lol

De Leon obviously dominated, my God this guy? Hope he can get stretched out soon and become an option.

Willie Calhoun hitting the shit out of the ball with 2 bombs. Calhoun, Bellinger, and Verdugo are all hitting really well.

These guys are gonna be interesting to watch over the next year+. All have starting spots waiting for them after next season if/when they are ready. Depending on where this team is in 13 months, could be a very interesting trade deadline.

Walker Buehler is supposed to begin pitching in the instructional league here soon. Hopefully he can get a solid few games under his belt in MiLB this year.

Ok, that may not happen... Sounds like they may be waiting until 2017 to get him into game action.

If you're basing it off what I said in the draft thread, I have nothing to back that up other than the typical 12-14 month recovery.
