They asked for Yelich? That's funny because he is better and worth more than either of those guys. Wow

Apparently it was more of a "your system is terrible, do not even bother trying" response

Starting to feel like Josh Reddick will end up with the Cubs, a lot being said about Theo and Reddick having a bond from Boston, so I guess I could see the Cubs pressing the gas there.
So as far as bats go, and ones who won't be overly expensive, that'd maybe leave Beltran and Bruce and I would be fine with either guy, maybe move Howie over to RF, corners not being as much of a focus as the up the middle spots go defensively.
Still, kinda hard for me to see how LAD would value either of those guys more than contending AL teams, though, since they could easily just DH over there.

Anyway, sign me up for Wade Davis/Ian Kennedy/Paulo Orlando, LAD can figure out how much of the $ they'll pick up from Kennedy, can also figure out a way for Puig to represent some value as one of the main pieces going to KC as well.
Perhaps make it a big 7 or 8 player swap, with LAD also basically buying younger prospects off of KC's farm via Kennedy's contract.
KC is a good match for LAD in my estimation, a small market team that could gamble a bit on a cost controlled " upside " guy like Puig mostly because they caught some bad breaks with injuries to all-stars, and so with better fortune they could be right back in win now mode next year.
LAD has some ML ready depth that could intrigue KC and better prepare them for their push next season.

KC also has a younger clubhouse, younger guys with 4 and 5 years of experience, similar to Puig, so he could fit into their douche culture with Moose and Hosmer.
Micah Johnson would fit into what they like to do if he can turn his slide around, he's probably just meh'ing on the minors and being blocked at this point.
Maybe KC has some interest in a Brock Stewart and/or Alex Wood to help put it over the top?
Boston, Texas, and Houston could be thinking similarly since they have the depth and financial power to do all of the above, so LAD would have to be measured in their bidding for sure.

ummm.... Morosi is saying that the Nationals have Giolito on the table for Andrew Miller. Have to think that is false as the Yankees would have to take that offer within seconds of it being presented.

1:15pm: A straight-up swap of Giolito wouldn’t be enough to get the Yankees to budge on Miller, Heyman tweets.

That is so insanely stupid. The Yankees are not a team that is currently built to win a WS. How can they not take the chance to nab the best pitching prospect in baseball for a reliever? Fuck, they want a super pen? Jansen, Melancon, Papelbon, Rodney, Ziegler and Chapman are all going to be FA's. Go for it next year, their fans will thank them for it!

    From mlbtr.....
The Athletics and Dodgers have discussed trade scenarios involving both lefty Rich Hill and outfielder Josh Reddick, per ESPN.com’s Buster Olney. It seems that the sides have batted around concepts involving both players in a single swap, as well as scenarios involving each player separately. It’s not hard to see the interest here from a Los Angeles organization that not only desires to add a starter and a left-handed-hitting outfielder, but has exhibited more injury risk tolerance in acquiring starting pitching than any team in baseball.

I really don't want Rich Hill......we've had enough pitcher DL time

Son of Steinbrenner raped the Cubs for an A-hole like Chapman. Now he thinks he's Attila the Hun and can rape and pillage on his whim.

If I'm the Dodgers I'd sign Kenley to an extension, then offer his ass to Washington for Giolito.

The Dodgers/A's match up trade-wise has been speculated on damn near all week by the media, today no different with Al Leiter saying he thinks Josh Reddick will be a Dodger
