Not hard to tell that his HRs jumped substantially from one year to the next and his previous years were pretty steady. Outlier for sure.

If Giancarlo was gonna get moved, be thankful he went to the AL.

Part of the blame also lies with Roberts. While traditionalist would say “stay with your stars”, history tells us differently. CK past the 5th is shaky. 6 innings max and take him out.

Agree that Kenley is not a 2 inning guy. So why does Roberts do this 2 years running.

And what was his obsession with Baez during the season?

Yes, the FO has to give him the tools, but I was yelling so hard at Roberts for his pitching management, my family was about to commit me.

We were an 0 - 2 pitch by Kenley to what's his face from winning the series guys.

    Kenley Blanton.
I'm all for being opportunistic when the right guys become available, but I don't agree with making poor trades just because " they need to do something. " Or just running up a bunch of transactions and painting that approach as " trying "..get that Padres shit outta here. If LAD's best players play better, they win the WS. As simple as that.

    From Heyman:

Marlins are regrouping now and plan to talk to Christian Yelich about how he feels about staying. He’s frustrated to see 3 best friends/top players go. So he may say he wants to go, which may trigger trade of him, too.

    12:46 PM - 13 Dec 2017

    Now Rosenthal:

#Marlins prez of bb ops Michael Hill did not rule out moving Yelich on @MLBNetwork: “As we look to build, look at whatever opportunities there are to make things better . . . we need to add depth to our system and put ourselves in position to win on a consistent basis.”

    huh?
you are truly a weird dude

i have been liking a lot of your posts, agreeing with you much lately, giving you likes and seconding what you are saying for the shocking reason that I agree with it.
but in your world I am doing all of that just to set you up with some nasty comment like the one you feel I just gave you?
that was not a nasty comment dude, you falling into strange delusion again.
you arent bothering me in the slightest, well now you just did i guess.
    congrats?

me saying 'its your time' should be taken at face value.
in fact why dont you take stuff at face value by default?

its literally your time to do what you like to do because it is the appropriate time.
when the dodgers lost the WS
you know, like at a wake you give people condolences, but not at a wedding
well, depends on who you marry I guess

anywhoo enjoy yourself, keep thinking people are out to get you but I have been on your side with pretty much everything you been writing since the WS but go on believing what a fool believes which is what he sees in his mind.

What the fuck is Jeter doing in Miami? Instead of trading all of these dudes you’d want to build around them wouldn’t you? Granted Stanton wanted out but to get Starlin Castro and two lower tier spects for him isn’t my idea of “rebuilding”. Now theyve traded Gordon, Ozuna and possibly yelich? Wow.

And if we get yelich determines on if the nerds value money more than prospects. Obviously money was the issue with Stanton. Do the dweebs in the front office feel yelich is worth the spects? I’m gonna guess no based on their previous actions or lack-thereof. Go get archer. Pitching is more of a need than outfield depth. We’ve already lost our second best relief arm and will probably lose the guy who couldn’t pitch in the World Series.

Kershaw has all the heart in the world.
His heart is not the problem. It is there, it is strong, but it has been hurt.
Kershaw may not be heartbroken but his heart had to take a beating.
It still ticks though. Dodgers have not completely torn his heart out yet. He is just left with permanent heartburn from the team using him improperly or doing other things that cause him angina.
And it will heal enough... he just needs to learn how to play through the chest pains.

I would guess, based on what I have read MGT has said, pitching is set. MGT has said that Maeda will return to the starting rotation and that Behuler will be a starter next year. That locks up the rotation which has no spot for Ryu and Urias. IMO this team needs something to put them over the top for next year. Not sure if Yelich is it, but could be.

Why not go for Yelich as it looks like the Marlins are just trying to shed as much cash as possible....not sure if they even want matching prospects from the looks of the Stanton deal.

Not sure how much of a dent that puts the Dodger finances, but the Yanks got creative and shed some contracts onto the Padres.

Why are we not able to do the same?

Yelich is under contract for 7 million next year which isn't much so the salary shouldn't be the issue it's the specs. As for the Yankees getting a sucker to trade with that cannot be helped. Reports are the Padres got Headley to trade him which our FO could use as a tactic to shed payroll so if there is a critique here that would be it.

Astros signed Joe Smith to shore up their BP. Don’t know the terms but he sounds like a solid relief guy.

Angels hot on the trail of Ian Kinsler which leaves (if it wasn't already the case) Brandon Phillips on the street. Interesting name to me at least but he's coming off of a bad year for him which could be age.

Guess I should consider myself lucky that I'm wrong only because you think I'm a fool...usually it's because a word or phrase used had a different meaning back in the 4th century when the Visigoths used it or some obscure shit like that.
As far as taking anything from you at face value, are you kidding? Lol. That would be a good thing if one could...but you? Who knows when you're trying to play the mystical sage or not? How can a person know?
You already posted that you write in "code", right ? And go into deep spacey historical sagas and apply it to baseball that no one gets, mostly...and I'm the weird guy?
    Look in the mirror, man.
And if I'm so weird and supposedly paranoid as you diagnosed, why bother Rube?

Didn't some hack or blogger write "look for the Dodgers to sign Swarzak"?
    Not happening...Metros got him.
But a huge disappointment, nevertheless, no? I love the guy, but a couple of hits might have made a world of difference.

I would never call a person a fool for not knowing something.
I only call someone a fool when I think they are acting and feigning shit.
You get your feelings hurt for no reason all the time and come in to start your shit.
You are too old for this snowflake business.
So its either you are a snowflake or you are pretending to be offended so you can bitch and re-start your long running shit parade that just wont quit.
Nah man, wont allow it no more.
