Replaced. It wasn't a walk in the park ( or anywhere else, ha), but I was in pretty good shape, so it is fine now. Still weird feelings and icy numbness now and then, but anything is better than the pain of a deteriorated hip. Nasty.
I had the newer anterior surgery done, and I'm glad I chose that. If anyone has to ever face this, consider that type over the posterior surgical approach.
The excruciating pain and immobility is not the way to go when it's just you and your dog.
    Lol.

I have a ton of pain there for year but since no mri yet i dont have much to go on.
I thought it would improve with the hernia operation but the pain is worse.
Im guessing the pelvic tissues pull on my hip and thats why the hernia developed so badly.
I had more mobility before the hernia operation. Now everything is super tight and it tweaks all the time even if im just standing around or pushing the shopping cart.
How is your mobility after the hip surgery?

Not bad...I only really walk my dog now, so it's not put to the extreme test. At my age I'm not running around end taking a pitch out or bangin the boards playing half court.
But pretty damn good. I haven't had to curtail any walking at any time since.
I'm definitely glad I had it done.
Your married now, right? So do it. Don't wait forever. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.
    You'll be glad.

Im no expert on music, but I keep expecting the song to reach some kind of climax....and it doesnt. It just kinda keeps flat throughout. I dunno....like you said, it doesn't do it for me.

Yeah everyone has their own taste in music so who knows shit? I don't but I know what I like

Paloma sounded a bit twangy, not so polished. If she's a sweet kid you might wish to advise her to get a voice coach to clarify her sound. She no doubt works her abs and her ass so a little time working her voice box would be a good thing.

Tierney has a nice set of pipes but falls into playing her voice as an instrument for more than it warrants. Like people don't listen to scales regardless of how good you are at scales. Stretch a note here or there but if you hit 14 syllables on one note then you're being too dramatic. Serge on guitar OTOH is pretty damned talented. Tierney might be great doing lounge acts but after a short while I'm not sure I'd be tuned in anymore. She turns into mere pleasant background noise that all fades into the same vocal registers. IMO.

In a parallel sense I recently saw Adam Lambert the recent American Idol winner and his opener was youthful pop star Andy Grammar. Grammar stole the show. Lambert might of had a better voice but he sucked at songwriting and engaging the audience and kept doing funky vocal registry exercises that were shit at a concert. Meanwhile Grammar wrote great upbeat songs and carried a melody, excited the crowd and never missed a note. Nor did he ever overwork any given note unlike Lambert. He didn't need to because the 'whole' act was better.

agree Tierney isn't my choice although i do appreciate her talent
as far as the debate on her talent she is a world renowned jazz artist of fairly high order
so regardless of our opinion she is star in that genre
which is fairly specialized and doesn't lead to massive wealth
as far as paloma goes maybe nick can help w the pipes
although i suspect they were seen on a date for mutual benefit of some sort or at least hers
    taint no accidents in hollyweird

    Not understanding that.

    Information.
I use massage and cold/hot compression, poultices and other old remedies.
But this hip/pelvic pain has been constant for years and when i have had xrays there is not much information gleaned.
Probably need to go to mexico and get an MRI. Or get on that obamacare! :D
But going through the US medical system is hard for me for some reason. They always push a shitload of drugs on you first and wont treat you until you start taking the drugs. Once the drugs prove they dont help then they give you the treatment you need.
    I prefer pain than drugs.

Wow...if your hip is shot, I'm surprised that Xrays didn't reveal that...it was pretty cut and dried with me..." you need a new hip".
    I waited years, and suffered.
You really should think about it.
There is another way they go at it now, by bombarding the area with nutients attempting to testore the natural substances no longer there. But I have no idea how successful.
I did have a cortisone shot done under MRI right into the bone, and it felt great for 6 months maybe, but it catches up, sooner or later. Coulda had another they said, but I figured why postpone the inevitable?
Might be cool to try the nutrient approach, as you are young, and maybe there is a good possibility of success.

Yeah thats something i would like to try (the nutrient approach).
I havent had proper xrays to be honest. Since i went in for the hernia the xray tech said they couldnt really do all of my hip, just the part near the hernia. When i lie flat on the bed my pelvis tits hard to the left and i have to put a pillow under my left buttcheek to keep my pelvis facing straight up. The HMO was a pain in the ass to get the xrays i wanted. The doc instead tells me to wear a jock strap for support. Now i have some prepaid rinky dink plan with a local clinic but they are worse than the HMO in getting things done.
Probably gonna try Kaiser next year.
In the past i have found its way easier to just go to mexico and pay cash. Its a lot cheaper and they will do what you ask.
But i am not 100% ok with getting knocked out and having surgery in mexico.

Its ok, i adapt. The only issue i have is that ive only been able to run like twice in the past 5 years.
    Both were bad ideas.
But since the operation i havent done anything but bed exercises ;)
I do miss exercise though, sports, running and jumping.
Cant do any of that because the operated hernia feels like it could pop.
And even if it doesnt the hip gets very sore and the nerves seem to grind in between the hip bone and the leg bone.
Its probably why I have been able to become a much calmer person than before.
Pain makes you way more irritable so you are forced to learn how to deal with that irritability and squash it.

Maybe more crazy, but certainly more messy.
