and hopefully we're a month or so away from Davis announcing the move to LA as well. but it seems like McKenzie's only shot to stay would've been with Gruden or a lesser known HC. however, of course Harbaugh has become the #1 target at this point, so multiple people on the inside are saying Tom Gamble is in line to get the Raiders' GM job. Gamble, formerly with the Niners and now with Philly, is really tight with both Harbaugh and the Davis family..was one of Al's favorite guys in the league. so if they hire Gamble, it'll be a real signal that Harbaugh to the Raiders is on.

Kawakami says the Raiders don't have to send a draft pick to the Niners for Harbaugh because the Niners have to get Harbaugh's consent to trade him and that Harbaugh wouldn't agree to a trade that depletes his future team of it's picks..that he's not looking to help Trent Baalke or start a new job without a full complement of picks. so basically all that has to happen is Harbaugh just waits, rejects every trade offer that Baalke comes to him with ( if any), and eventually the Niners just fire him because it's a done deal that he's gone after the season anyway.
