Raiders nab Hudson from the Chefs

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that the team is expected to sign Rodney Hudsonto a five-year deal worth $44.5 million, per a source informed of the situation.

made him the highest paid center in the game. he's Top 3, so close enough. huge upgrade over Wiz II and even moreso in the new system. now..at least offensively..Iupati, possibly...maybe Gresham or Jordan Cameron.

    Odrick goin to JAX

at this point with the wideouts I'm hearing Harvin and he's really the only one worth bringing in because he's familiar with the system, can line up in the backfield, and has so much upside. they're likely to draft one early anyway.

I wouldn't have traded Hudson for Maclin, but good god that is a lot of dough for a center.

Pernell McPhee to Chicago Bears on five-year, $40 million deal, nearly $16 million guaranteed

this probably won't work out. been a rotational guy his whole career and not even a weakside pass rusher

You know Hudson wasn't much better than average before last season, right? Although in both cases are in the physical prime of their career (25 and 26 respectively), so I'm not worrying about either one.

Hudson had a solid 5 rating in 2013, his 1st full year as a starter..now up to a 13 rating in his 2nd full year making him top 3 at his position ( and the only center in the league with a positive score in all areas).

Maclin's been starting for years now and has been up and down. now he's basically 1 million away from being paid an average of what the top 5 receivers in the game are making when he's more of a 8M or 9M a year guy. he's certainly not better than Jordy Nelson. it's the Chefs blowing their load on a receiver again..granted that they needed one, but they were just paying Bowe 11.2 a year..nuff said. Maclin's no Bowe, but you get the point.

Raiders are probably the 1 losing team that he would consider being that he and Derek Carr are really close..Carr grew up around him, Johnson used to go to his high school games to watch him play, etc. Also, Johnson and Reggie McKenzie have the same agent.

But Andre is probably looking to catch on with a winner..that's the general wisdom anyway. IMO, Andre has a lot left in the tank, so he could sign a 1 or 2yr deal to help Derek progress as a QB and then still go catch on with a contender later. Andre is simply one of the best of all time, period..fastest to pretty much all of the milestones without much help at QB for a lot of his career.

Hudson was a great signing! Pretty pissed we missed on Iupati.

Go get Clint Boling and Knighton immediately!
