Even if he does OK, he's gonna get it all year, they don't give a damn in Philly. Lol
    Especially with Wentz behind him.

This is torture for me. Reminds me how old and jacked up i am that i cant do stuff like that anymore. Not even close.
Quick release on a jumper you KNOW is going in so you turn around and not even look at it swoosh... just walk away and listen to the net.
We age slowly but we get old in a minute.

Making a jump shot, to me...is the easiest single task to do in the four plus major sports. Not at Curry's all-time level...and obviously having a bunch of 6' -7' guys trying to stop you is another story. But, shooting a jumpshot as a single task requires probably the least amount of skill.

I'd say hitting a baseball, a putt in golf (hell, every aspect of golf), netting a shoot-out goal in hockey, carrying the ball for a running back, completing a pass for a quarterback, etc. are all far more difficult than knocking down a jump shot.

And that's not to take anything away from Curry. Because he's doing it at a level we've never seen before. And obviously it requires a million other skills in order for him to create the shots he gets.

Just saying. If you did an amateur skills competition, shooting the basketball would be the easiest by far to succeed in. And there are people on the street who can hit free throws at a better rate than some NBA players.

Oh, by the way...I think NBA players are the best overall athletes by far. So I'm not a complete hater. But I'm more in awe by the average golfer, baseball player, and quarterback more than I am of the average NBA player.

And yes...I'm stirring the pot :stirpot:

Adam Schein: The Raiders' rise isn't just an AFC West storyline, either. Let's talk about the big picture, let's talk about the conference race. Here's how I'd rank the top four AFC teams on paper: New England (in a class of its own), followed by Houston, Oakland and Pittsburgh (in that order).

    each person is different
    physically speaking
guys like shaq with huge hands have a very hard time doing stuff like shooting
shooting also takes a lot of smoothness, finesse, feel
    like throwing a football
you have to learn not to throw a basketball but shoot it
how to feather a pass not shoot it at someone
imo basketball takes a lot of skill
chess is simple to learn but near impossible to master
    shooting is like that
for me the hardest thing to do in sports was to catch a high fly ball coming down at me from the sky
i could hit ok with the stick, i could shag anything hit my way in the infield... but outfield flys and some deep popups would get me all the time
completely lost out there like matt kemp

I call BS on that argument. I have pretty big hands,. I can palm a basketball on the catch. When we were in high school, we used to good around and play with one of those dunk balls. You know, those mini basketballs that are bigger than a softball but smaller than a volleyball. I could shoot that thing just fine. Probably better than a regular basketball. The smaller the ball,. The easier it is to get on your fingertips and get a clean release.

The my hand is to big to shoot argument is pure laziness.

Fat Boy never wanted to put the work in to become a decent free throw shooter. Rick Barry once offered to work with him and Shaq refused.

Raptors down 50 in the series after two games. Worst margin of defeat over a conference finals is the 2001 Spurs. -89 in sweep by Lakers.

Lol LAL really put it to the Spurs in that '01 run
Hate that the Cavs are being compared to a 3peat team right now, haven't accomplished jack

Same here big hands and can palm off the dribble or catch and go directly into t he dunk (on 9 feet rims obviously) and free throws were not hard.
They did get harder in game situations.
I would spend hours at t he park at night running from end to end stopping to shoot a free thow then sprinting to the other end to shoot another and back and forth.
Waiting till someone would show up to play 1on1. Nobody went to my local park. Soon as I got a car a went to parks where people actually lived.
But I got good at free throws and trick shots.
    And stamina.
    Damn I miss playing ball.
    I don't miss much.
But I miss that a good bit.
