    You sounding religious.

The enemy dont want socialism btw.
People who want socialism aren't the true enemy.
The ones that are using those who want socialism are the enemy. Once they get in power they will do away with these types of socialists. Just like in russia and China and every other red state.

The enemy is the enemy even if they are capitalists.

And ”all of us” don't want to help the poor.
Whatever you think about the failures of how welfare and government works for those that need to depend on the gov... It is by design.
The poor get poorer and the rich get richer is not accidental.

That is how socialism works too.
A free lunch always comes with a catch.
And its not the catch of the day.
Specially when you the new fish in a dirty blanket.
Just like the natives in reserve.
They also thought themselves to be the real Americans.
Their braves were all sent home by Mr. Freeman.
    Mr. Freeman needs no job.
    He needs no government.
He was born free. Not in a government institution and without the help of the dole.
And that is an entitlement only allowed to good neighbors.
    Which begs the question.

Absolutely...with time comes change. Not necessarily wisdom, but change.
When I was a kid, we all loved Mohammad Ali. But I loved him as a superb and beautiful athlete, with big bravado and a genius for entertainment along with those other attributes.
When he refused induction, I put his " Black Muslim " beliefs as a valid reason...and, to a degree, that it was OK.
But sometimes I thought why the fuck should I have to go and maybe die over there, but not him? Now he paid for it, by being banned from boxing at his absolute peak.
But time passed, we came home ( some), and in more time, I listened more carefully to his story, and what w
his statements really were about that time...and when he said " if there are enemies on the shore of America then give me a gun- I'll fight and die if I have to. But if you want me to go half way around the world and kill people who never did me any harm in any way- I won't go. To fight and kill those people in an old white man's war? No.
Ain't no Vietnamese ever called me nigger. "
That's when I changed my thinking about a lot of things.

Similar to me but I went with Chuck Baldwin.

There was this thing about Ronny... He liked to invite astrologers to the white house. That was kinda weird.

I can honestly say, I have never liked a single candidate that has been offered since I was voting age (bush sr was first).
Although, at the time I was cool with Clinton nutting on some fatty's dress while at work, so I guess that's the most I've ever liked a president.

But not voting is a kind of message.
Low turnout should be an indicator that deligetimizes the system.
The power of the government should be tied to how many people actually vote.
Lower turnout should mean lower government power to do anything. There should be a system with the government's ability to tax is tied to voter turnout, regardless of who wins the election.
    That would be awesome.

Now I wait for Ruven's mods to the idea with 384 different rules and cases to make it incomprehensible.

All those valley girl hot yoga chicks you are banging must be worth it.

I know diablo is just taking back the "im not religious but im spiritual" meme away from the former tians whose parents forced to go to church or college students who took a class about eastern cultures or someone into some mystical self empowerment trip that uses mantras massages oils crystals chakras martial arts dreamcatchers etc... Or maybe just someone into curry and weed.

Never been a big fan of Dave Chapelle.
He just doesn't make me laugh. To be fair, I have barely watched any of his stand-up or his show.
    Appreciate the talent though.
He's clearly an upper tier, all-time great who has made a shit ton of money telling jokes and has earned the adoration of his peers

I checked out the Netflix special for about 10 minutes (along with select clips online) and wasn't really amused.
Do I agree with some of his observations? Sure. But was it funny to me? Not especially.
I didn't find the subtext original or that insightful, either.

Nick Di Paolo's "Breath of Fresh Air" wasn't exactly amazing, but I think it was funnier than Dave's special.

...The thing about Bernie Sanders is he cannot get the black vote. I keep e-mailing the fucker; change your first name to "Colonel"!

I will give it a longer watch sometime and see if my opinion changes. It's hard to say for sure something is not funny when I haven't watched the entire special.

    Until then...

I tend to agree although the man made me laugh out loud several times during this special
what's amazing is that even though he's a liberal he is out there taking a bat to a lot of their nonsense
he's just citing common sense but its rare to see that coming from a Hollywood minority, comedian or not
the juicy smolet bit was worth the price of admission
watching the folks in the crowd go from big wide smiles to sitting back uncomfortably was, well juicy
his shows are legendary of course, but his continual laughing at his own jokes and walking to the back of the stage got old
still its about time comedians start taking back the stage
there were all sorts of things I didn't agree w but that's sort of the point
no one is supposed to be comfortable
and its been a loooooong time since I've seen the left get taken out behind the wood shed so good on him

I watched his Netflix special last night. I thought it was pretty funny, but didn't stand up to his work in classics like, "Half Baked."
I can also understand why some people had their feelings hurt.
I think it's fuckin hilarious when he makes fun of white people. I should probably work on being more butthurt about that.

    Dude i'm working on it!
    Old habits die hard.
    I appreciate the message.
So i'll give you a little bit of classic.
One paragraph, just for old times sake.
    ------------------------------------------------------

Rule 1. There is no should.
    Case ¹ Self evident.

Not voting is like not going to church.
    Exactly the same thing.
You either practice the state religion and take part in its religious rites and light your votive candle to elect your guardian angels and you better pay your tribute... Or don't.
Nobody will judge you except your peers.
    Low turnout is by design.
    It legitimizes power.
The fewer the votes the more powerful they are.
A country that actually wants the majority of people to vote would do it differently.
That is not how the system works.
If the governments power to tax was tied to turnout then even fewer people would vote.
Then the incentive is to have low turnouts so the government can't flex their power.
At least from the people who don't want to be taxed further.
