    and the only reason we kept pace is because the giants also got swept
    the object is to win ballgames and (specifically) series
    we failed to do either in pittsburgh

    Peraza up and batting 2nd, no bullpen changes


    I'm excited about Peraza but, Howie being hurt really really sucks. It's gonna be hard for Peraza (or Enrique) to fill his shoes. Hope Howie isn't gone long but we've seen those hamstrings take a while

    Puig has a DRS stay of 1, ranked 311. That's considered average to below average. Certainly not stellar. And constant throwing errors like yesterday pop up again and again, misjudging fly balls (the leaping catch he made a week ago should not have been dramatic, he misjudged the ball from the get go).

    Yeah, so defensively he's been a problem too.

    The throwing errors aren't as frequent as you make them out to be. He still made those plays, and made great plays like gunning guys out like a couple days ago when he threw a guy out at second on a normal single.

    Still no Span, but Nats have enough back to beat up on the bums.

    Van Slyke, Puig, and Hernandez kill lefties. 6-9 is bad, wish Grandal was starting, but long travel last night wasn't a good thing for the team.
