What does the pitcher on the mound and the coaches have to do with his boneheadedness?

well Colon isn't an ace, but it's just about fundamentals, that is awful, I've seen him do it before, oh well

We are seeing Correia's true colors. He is one of the worst starters in the league

Wouldn't be fantastic that the reason they replaced Colon was because we just traded for him.

sums up our luck today. Dee on third, none out and those scrubs leave him there. He might as well have tried to steal home.

We were due for a clunker. Add to the fact that it would have only been our 2nd 4 game winning streak.

well, for 1..Bartolo is good with a 5 run lead. meaning you can pretty much put the win in the bank. and the coaches come into play because he had like 3 of them talking to him when he got to the dugout and that's 3 too many when they're facing a legit starter and need to take some chances to get runs on the board. they just wanted to get in his face about his baserunning in general, but in this instance, considering all the circumstances..Puig was fine.

I'm not even all that mad at this game, we still won the series and our schedule still lines up nicely for the rest of the way.

I mean you can't really get mad or be surprised at this team never making a run. How are you supposed to go on a winning streak with the crap trio?

We get Arizona and the Giants get the Rox for 4. Pedro Baez has quietly moved himself up the reliever hierarchy.

I disagree. It is not fine, down 5 runs vs a good starter, the last thing you want to do is throw away outs and make it easier for them. It was completely boneheaded because he had no chance of scoring in the first place. Someone has to let him know that he screwed up, maybe not 3 guys, but a couple of them.

well then we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on philosphy because when you're down 5 runs to Bartolo Colon there's not much chance for you anyway..and that's before considering that this Dodger team has 1 comeback in like 47 chances. i see zero harm in pressing the issue and being aggressive. if Colon were a shitty pitcher nobody here would want the Dodgers to pick him up, but he's not. he's rather good and very good with a lead..which is one of the main reasons we all want him on this team.

now, if you're tellin me that 2013 Hanley Ramirez is comin to the plate next..OK, we have a problem. but Hanley is clearly a different hitter this year and Colon is consistent. that 1 out didn't mean shit. we had a bum on the mound today and that's where the story begins and ends.

That's not being aggressive, thats being undisciplined and stupid. He had no chance and ran right through the stop sign that was up the whole time. Even if you disagree with the sign the coach is putting up, and even if it is the completely wrong sign, when players stop listing to their coaches, there becomes a complete lack of a sense of accountability.

I don't see what all the discussion is about Puig.
Because he's basically one of our top two players and has super high potential, makes great throws and catches in CF, and is our best average hitter, it doesn't change the fact that he is the stupidest player in MLB. Hands down.
I don't care if he was born on Mars and played jai alai until he was 21 years old. Right now, that dubious label hangs around his neck, and all the coddling because he's good at so much other stuff isn't going to change anything. He's a fucking dolt. A total enigma.
He also will never hit a lot of HRs unless he has a different approach to his swing, but that is irrelevant...his line drives will suffice right now. It all may come to him down the line somewhere.
I don't think he lost the game or anything, but at this point in time, he is by far, the village idiot. Bad baseball is bad baseball, whether winning a game or losing it doesn't change it at all.
