i'd like that, but that still doesn't mean that Scherzer or Shields are more of a possibility than McCarthy

yea, i'm agreeing with chrisdodgers here..that's not smart.

I'll take a healthy Billingsley over McCarthy any day of the week and twice on Sunday's. Facts are McCarthy has pitched 200 innings once in his career, which was last season, and 170 innings another time in his career, and besides that, hasn't pitched more than 135 innings in a season in his 9 year career. That is not good.

aside from that..what have you done for me lately, Bills..nada. guy could be washed up for all you know..while McCarthy just sliced through the AL.

this is crazy. people are calling for broken down Morrow and broken down Billingsley. i give up. Godspeed, Andrew Friedman.

The point is that we don't know if Billingsley is healthy and McCarthy is.

It seems a big part of Ned's undoing was not only the inaction this past deadline but also not pulling the trigger on Lee for Kendrick. Ownership has been stewing over that one ever since.

Which is why you let his option lapse and then sign him to 1 year, 1 million-like Maholm. If his arm doesn't come back it's no great loss.

if the idea is to get younger and attempt to solidify things with healthy players that have value, Dodgers would be better served bringing up a healthy, young arm that has promise before potentially wasting time on a vet with no promise. i feel the same way about Morrow..why waste time there when Baez is young/healthy? especially in our case..we have enough questions as it is with the bullpen and the commitments made there. SOLIDIFY SOMETHING. in Friedman i trust.

oh shut it. You can't give an unblinded opinion when it comes to Chad Billingsley. No idea why you hate him so much. He's going to prove you wrong, like Matt Kemp has, book it.

impossible to say what bills has left and/or how he'll respond coming back
agree with carolina that you make him a minimal offer full of incentives and see if he takes it
if he accepts it, great... it's low risk
    if not, buh bye

Dodgers have better info on Chads health then any of us, but I would love to see him come back in Jamey Wrights role, but actually good.

A guy who can give us some innings in the bullpen but maybe also be used in some high leverage spots... As he builds arm strength and if he's doing well, slot him into the rotation

    No more Ned type deals.

    Dre
    CC
    Tin Man
    Hanley
    League
    Perez
    Wilson

Gone. There's a new Sheriff in town and if he can unload some or all of the big dumb contracts he will.

No more risks or gut feelings. Bringing back the Tin Man is a Ned type deal. Drew will go with youth over another injury risk.

That hate word again? We've been over that.

Kemp hasn't proven me wrong yet. But I hope he does...if he isn't dealt.

Friedman isn't going out for bandaids like Ned. If he has to wait a year or two he will.

And sorry, but Hanley isn't coming back since you love the injured so much.

    Now. Please stop fluffing.

    LOL

Glad someone remembered that. Almost as good as Towers in San Diego saying:

"We're going to score 800 runs!"
