I don't know if I'd call Julius Thomas a "matchup nightmare". He's a solid receiving TE, but if you take him out of Denver the results are going to be pedestrian.

The Dodgers have won a WS more recently than the Raiders or Chiefs have won a Super Bowl. I'm not impressed.

From a talent standpoint he is a matchup nightmare. Statistics fluctuate from situation to situation, but the talent doesn't lessen for a 26yr old thats relatively healthy. We're talking 6'5" 250lbs running a 4.6 in the 40 and one of those former basketball playing tight ends that can split out into the slot. He's tough to deal with in space. Too fast for linebackers, too big for DB's. For example..I don't see any tight end going into Denver this off season bringing that level of raw talent and dynamic ability.

Jordan Cameron is also another pretty good FA TE.

Meant Demaryius Thomas, but I guess Denver isn't letting him go anywhere.

I knew who you meant..I was just saying because yeah the Broncos are tagging DT if they have to.

Nobody's letting their #1 go..even the Cards worked it out with Fitz a little while ago. Andre Johnson tried to talk his way out of Houston before last year..they still kept him. The Cowboys are set to do Dez dirty and tag him..all they keep talking about his how they don't wanna commit a lot of money to Dez because they question his off the field situation. If I were Dez I'd tell them fools to release me then..if you really have questions about my home life and its worrying..relieve yourself..let me go. I can't imagine him being happy with the tag..he's the heart of that team. Bears look like they're set to keep Marshall even though that guy has problems. Josh Gordon remains with the Browns..wouldn't want him anyway.

Easiest way to get a #1 receiver is through the draft is basically what I'm saying.

Chiefs center Rodney Hudson will outpace some projections. He came this close to signing a four-year extension during the season that would have been worth $6M a season -- very good money. I bet he ends up with at least $7M a year in free agency, however, and I continue to hear the Raiders are looking hard at him.

Makes sense. Raiders are moving to a Peyton/Chip Kelly-like up tempo/pistol style offense and Hudson is a good athlete at center. Wouldn't be a shocker if the Raiders went up to 8M a year for him. I know Chiefs don't like that report..:whyme:

Cameron's been dealing with repeated concussions. Not to say that he can't or won't be a good player going forward..just buyer beware that he's been beat up.

Not during his 1st two years, nope. And he had recurring ankle stuff last year, but still caught 12 TDs.

I'm not pitting one against the other, though, but if I were..players play through ankle stuff. No more playing through concussions, though.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been reinstated after U.S. District Court Judge David Doty ruled Thursday in the NFL Players Association's lawsuit against the NFL on Peterson's behalf.

It is the latest blow to the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell, who has watched his rulings against Peterson and Ray Rice both overturned in recent months.

The league had suspended Peterson through at least April 15 for his involvement in a child abuse case. But Doty said in his 16-page ruling that arbitrator Harold Henderson "simply disregarded the law of the shop and in doing so failed to meet his duty under the [collective bargaining agreement]."

Said the NFLPA in a statement issued Thursday: "This is a victory for the rule of law, due process and fairness. Our collective bargaining agreement has rules for implementation of the personal conduct policy and when those rules are violated, our union always stands up to protect our players' rights. This is yet another example why neutral arbitration is good for our players, good for the owners and good for our game."

Jeff Curry/USA TODAY SportsVikings running back Adrian Peterson is eligible to be reinstated after Judge David Doty ruled in favor of the NFLPA and overturned the NFL's suspension.

As a result of the ruling, the Vikings might now be forced to make a decision on Peterson sooner rather than later. They can release or try to restructure his contract now, and they also will be free to trade him once the league year begins March 10.

There also was uncertainty as to Peterson's future with the Vikings after his agent, Ben Dogra, had to be separated from Vikings vice president Rob Brzezinski during a heated exchange at the NFL scouting combine last week, sources told ESPN.

Doty heard arguments from NFLPA attorney Jeffrey Kessler and NFL attorney Daniel Nash on Feb. 6 in Minneapolis.

The union had argued that Goodell acted outside his authority in November when he suspended Peterson until at least April 15 for disciplining his 4-year-old son with a switch in May. Henderson, a longtime NFL executive who the union argued was biased in favor of the league, upheld Peterson's suspension Dec. 12.

Kessler argued that Peterson should not be subject to the league's new personal conduct policy, which implemented stricter punishments for players in domestic violence cases, because that policy was not instituted until late August.

"The only people" who felt the new policy applied to Peterson, Kessler argued to Doty, "were Commissioner Goodell and Mr. Henderson.

Peterson is scheduled to earn a base salary of $12.75 million in 2015 and count $15.4 million against the Vikings' salary cap. Coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman have both indicated they want Peterson back, but they stopped short of saying it would happen.

Peterson would again be the league's highest-paid running back if he returned under his current contract, and in a December interview with ESPN, he said he didn't believe he should take a pay cut in 2015. He added that he saw himself being a better player in 2015 after getting tackled just 21 times in 2014.

Dumb Peterson. I wonder if this will effect the NFL's Greg Hardy chase.

Cameron should stop playing football. When a concussion lingers for that long it's a pretty serious issue. With his history of concussions id do the kid a favor and not touch him. One more and he can potentially have very serious issues in the future

like clockwork..Hardy now lookin for immediate reinstatement..

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy will seek immediate reinstatement into the NFL, a league source told ESPN.com.

The decision to seek reinstatement came on the heels of a U.S. District Judge ruling on Thursday that an NFL arbitrator "failed to meet his duty" in a child abuse case againstMinnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.

That opened the possibility that Peterson will be reinstated before his suspension was set to end on April 15.

ESPN business analyst Andrew Brandt said the Peterson ruling should work in favor of Hardy if the NFL tries to suspend him for six games, the minimum under the new policy.

Brandt said the ruling would favor Hardy getting at most a two-game suspension, which was the standard set by the initial Rice suspension before the new policy was adopted.

That would favor any team that signed Hardy in free agency.

"This is all the same thing," Brandt said. "It's all the same argument. Now this doesn't mean the NFL can't apply a six-game suspension, and then we're going back to court and arbitrations and hearings and maybe Hardy wins in Doty's court down the line.

"But you would think the NFL being reprimanded twice in two different jurisdictions that they would take the lesson to not implement any new conduct discipline based on conduct that occurred in the spring of 2014."

yeah..i can see Hardy gettin the 2 game suspension that Rice got the 1st time..maybe even getting it cut to 1. the alleged crime happened before the rule change. more than anything, the league really doesn't need to go to court and take another loss. move out of the way, bkitches.
