52 games. 211 PAs in his career, .294/.336/.476 in the cleanup spot. productive.

compared to his .292/.341/.396 slash in the 5-slot..it would seem as though HK doesn't give much of a fuck..he just produces in the middle of the order on a consistent basis.

and he's been hitting pretty well with RISP " full time "..career .292/.345/.413 hitter with runners in scoring position..who gets in scoring position more than Puig and AGon on this team?

yeah, lets use Uribe to drive in AGon and Puig..the career .269/.318/.426 hitter with RISP.

yo, wtf is up with our young outfielders just running " blindly " into our infielders? they actually have the advantage of seeing what's in front of them as they come in. Jesus Christ, Joc.

Because that's what the conversation was about...:dickhead:?

No, the conversation was about Howie hitting clean up LAST YEAR, which I gave the sample size for. Then you give his CAREER numbers which are for exactly 23 more games and 50 more PA's...whoopty fucking doo.

The point is that it's a small fucking sample size...GET IT?

Guess what? Andre Ethier has a career slash of .288/.377/.462/.839 batting clean up, nothing but productive. Oh, and in nearly three times the sample size. Why not let him back up A-Gon???

50 games don't mean shit, like I said, no evidence he can do it full time.

it actually was because he proposed the same thing that you proposed a while back..Uribe in a prime RBI spot giving protection to Puig/AGon. his twist is just that he doesn't think Kendrick hits enough HRs in the spot.

Joc is projected to hit more HRs than Kendrick this year..should Joc hit behind Puig/AGon? no.

the conversation was about Kendrick hitting in the clean up spot right now. i just pointed to what he did last year in the cleanup spot because Koufax made out like DBB was an idiot to put him there when " genius Scioscia " had Kendrick in the cleanup spot for a good stretch just last year and to good results.

because Ethier can't handle lefties, hasn't had the same sort of success in recent seasons, and is mostly a 6-7 inning player these days because of matchups with opposing relievers. he's not nearly the all-around protection that Kendrick is. any more questions?

Speaking of PA announcing, you can tell even from home that they've eliminated the dumb walk up music this year. Just announce the name and get in the box. Good stuff. I like what the league has implemented for pace of play.

oh shit so Aardsma, Huff, and Santos got sent to the minors. I thought we'd lose them. I know these dudes aren't great where losing them should be a travesty but it's cool to have the best 7 we could have out in the bullpen without losing some of the guys who looked interesting at least in the spring.

    Go Dodgers.

I was at the game and a couple of things:
    • Walk up songs only for the 1st batter of the inning. I think? And they were really short
    • Timer clock in Center field between innings
    • The New PA guy is trying hard to sound like the Eric Smith but definitely missed the mark. Hell do tho.
    • Nancy B still hitting the keys!
    • Lines for days to get beers and food
    • The new metal detectors make getting into the stadium an absolute fucking nightmare..Pack a lunch and get there super early or you're not getting in till the 4th inning!
    • SVS Smashes Lefties!

I'm not a big Baez fan. Dude needs to get command of his off speed pitch(es), or else he's giving up more bombs to the better hitters that realize his off speed is garbage.

No, he didn't 'propose' that, he said he didn't think Kendrick should bat clean up when guys with power were available. His exact quote: You have Grandal. SVS. Hell, even Juan Urine... That doesn't sound anything like he was proposing Uribe, but nice try.

Please, totally ridiculous to suggest that you put a rookie in that spot, especially one that has shown a propensity to strike out like Joc.

Yaddah, yaddah, yaddah. Like I said, the conversation was about him hitting clean up last year, and 39 games in my mind does not constitute a "good stretch". He hit cleanup for 13 consecutive games, because Hamilton was out. Nearly all of his starts were because Hamilton was out, both early in the year and late in the year. Then you post his "career" numbers and I about spit my beer on the screen, ...really, you think 23 more games and 50 more PA spread over a 8 year span is relevant? Dumbass much?

And in the context of the stats being quoted, none of that is relevant. You made a big deal out of a small sample size for Kendrick, so I made a deal out of a larger sample size for Ethier, to the point that...NEITHER is relevant. But you don't get that because you're too busy being right on the internet.

    28 RBI's in 39 games, that is a 115 RBI pace.

So I saw on Twitter one of the lesser known media members talking about how the Dodgers could be looking into selling the naming rights to Dodger Stadium (it had 1 RT and no one else is reporting this). However, it got me thinking though, I may not forgive them if they change the name of Dodger Stadium. Hopefully nothing happens and this is a moot point, but how would you guys feel about it?

I have a feeling TB is the embodiment of an 86-year-old man trapped in a 23-year-old's body.
