A stat shown by the SD cast was that the Dodgers had fourth worst in ML blown saves, at 21...just thinking that if we halved that to 11, which is not unreasonable at all, we have 100 victories already. I guess that is the difference between us and the Cardinals, possibly?? Aside from the fact we have no clue how to beat them, of course... Just numbers, actually...but cause to wonder. But numbers flip some people out. What, oh what, will they do when (if) Arrietta, not Zack or CK, "wins" the CY ??
By the way, the weather report was very wrong...it's not clearing up, and it has gotten back to being very nasty today. If they play in NY, it'll be a "puig", the new word for "miracle".
i'd laugh if their entire series was rained out and mlb refused to let them make it up, thus giving us home field they'd be so pissed and (better) focused on "how they got screwed", making excuses before they'd even lost get it done joaquin
The Fox studio coverage is brutal now that Gabe Kapler left. Their bottom ticker never fits the bottom of the screen. And holy crap the NFL music needs to go
It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out. If they continue to get rained out, their pitchers are going to keep having to get pushed back and that could screw up their rotation for the early games. Hope they get rained out again today can only get one in tomorrow and somehow get 2 on Monday or Tuesday at an alternate location mwahahahahaha
if we take care of business, they'd only have to lose one game and if you were to [hypothetically] take weather out of the equation... our odds of sweeping the pads [especially with our two aces going] is far greater than them sweeping a much better nats team
There's some good news! Now, we control our destiny, going against the Pad's w/out Kenp and Shields with G n K on the hill... Only DBB can fuck this up....
Mets from the sounds of it went with their Playoff lineup and got shut down by a left who couldn't find the strike zone. Somewhat good news....
Good to see Puig back. Let's sweep and get that HFA. Was just outside. Weather isn't bad at all. Been sprinkling or overcast most of the day in Manhattan. Doubt their evening game will be rained out.
