no game until friday most of the team can rest while puig practices bat flips on pop ups and cartwheels chasing fly balls
Will these snakes turn into the big Sedona red machine now? They've been the '62 Mets against SF cocksuckers...
Things may get worse before they get better. If we wake up on July 26 and are "only" 8.5 games back or less, I can live with that. The schedule starts to flip huge in our favor after that. This is the roughest stretch. Of course, if we can't take care of business against the Giants in the second half, the schedules won't matter.
D-bags traded their best relief pitcher so they are in tank mode to a certain extent but they'll get hyped for us as usual. Terrible home record has to get better which worries me the most. Good news obviously is no Greinke but Goldy looms large as usual. Had fleeting thought of doing that 5 hour drive and going to a game. The thought of how fucking hot it's going to be there outside of the stadium stopped me in my tracks. Have to win 2 at minimum!!!!!
After bitching about the Dodgers all year, I find myself getting impatient waiting on them to play a game again.
Either we sack up like we need to and take care of SF cpcksucker, or we go back into our usual loser rabbit hole that we've been taking a dump in for the last 27 seasons. You would think the thing is just about filled to capacity, and that it is time to move on out and rise on up. Always a hitter away, or a pitcher away... time for no more excuses. Just do it
i get that way every subsequent day i somehow conveniently forget the prior day's miseries and foolishly look forward to getting home and watching the game... only to be disappointed yet again
Really...8.5 behind is OK with you? Seems like a big hill to climb...hope you're right. I think we need to stay closer than that. Unless we go 42-8 again...pretty sure that will do it.
Not "OK with it" like I will be happy about it. But "OK with it" like we are still within striking distance, or I won't be jumping off any bridges. Obviously I hope we are 6.5 back or less after our roadtrip, but we are in position to make up a lot of ground the last two months if we play well. Difference in opponents after July 24 Giants face: Nationals, Nationals, Orioles, Mets, Braves, Cardinals Dodgers face: Rays, Red Sox, Phillies, Yankees, Rockies, D-Backs plus 10 series vs same opponents plus 9 games head-to-head
Didn't it used to be a three game break? Why is it four now? Oh, that's right...gotta have that WS in the snow...
It's rather disgusting. This year the WS won't even start until October 27, and only a 4-game sweep will prevent the series from spilling over into November. The ALCS and NLCS aren't even scheduled to start until Oct 16 and 17. I'm not necessarily against the expanded playoffs, but something needs to be done to tighten this thing up. The obvious solution to me is to shorten the season back to 154 games and get all the WC stuff taken care of before October begins, but I'm sure MLB isn't interested in less games.
It's because there ain't anything else on. Other sports out of season and all the good tv shows are between seasons
