Honestly, Fuck Phillies fans. I could not locate a fuck to give about whatever their current plight. They deserve AJ if they care about his awful "D", sub .200 level batting for a backup catcher. I care about the Dodgers and we WON that trade. Big time. This. Agreed that TODAY would have been a better day to announce than yesterday. Oh well. Sometimes you can pick when to rip off the bandage and sometimes it gets ripped off for you. Life's a bkitch.. and then you move on. Besides we clearly won the trade. As far as all of the touchy feely side of this goes, GROW A SACK already if you're bothered. I do agree that one of Uribe's larger values was in the clubhouse/dugout where he kept things loose which it turns out helped and hurt our team as it may have contributed to Puig not corralling errant behaviors and ultimately being sent to the minors. However trading Uribe made room for Turner and Turner has carried his own weight just fine and the team is better off because of it. I expect no less from Ruiz as AJ has minuscule shoes to fill. And old fat Uribe (somehow) had some mad damn fielding skills at the hot corner which is vastly different than old 'passed ball' AJ who made up for having shitty "D" skills by having even shittier "O" skills. gwon, beat it already.. don't let the door, or my boot, hit you on the way out. Both are Caribbean. Way more similar culture. Mexicans specially from the north are very different cats than south americans and even more different than Caribbeans. And before someone comments culturally Venezuela is Caribbean.
He's "better pitching to Grandal" because they used career numbers and he's been better in 2015-2016 than any other point of his career. That's pretty obvious right?
He's better than Chooch against - some - LHP Let's say Bumgarner is on the hill...Yaz is .091/.093/.192 lifetime against Bumgarner. Chooch, on the other hand, is a .368/.350/.632 lifetime hitter against Bumgarner. Just an example of 1 particular matchup swinging his way.
It's not about helping a point, it just is. Some guys have done well in long standing matchups against others and managers play to those advantages/matchups all the time.
not an argument but i'm watching a guy start culbersson over utley in two big games against SF and ruiz has a ton of playoff experience so my guess is that it will be predicated on how well he fares down the stretch
They have at least 1 soul point from me for vanquishing Puig Give them another 2 for ghostbusting Kemp
I thought thats what Kike is for? Why is Kike and Culberson both on the squad at the same time? Kike should be the only SS/2B backup on the team. We have better pinch hitters in the OF and some can play corner IF positions too. Either Kike, Culberson, or Taylor but not 2 at the same time. If we could work out some magic for another teams serviceable SS that would be ideal.
