They were the better team. No point in being bitter against the Cubs or their fans. Cause in the end, they're playing for a title. Be mad at the Dodgers for once again not playing good baseball in October.
SO many shoulda coulda wouldas in my head right now. But there was a huge gap between the best team in MLB and everyone else this season. And we weren't a worthy opponent.
And in less than a month, the horror of the landslide Hillary victory for America will only compliment this most foul of occurences we just witnessed... Buwahhhaaahah... Do What Thou Wilt...
i know I'm getting annoying trying to be the "perspective" guy but... making it to Game 6 of the NLDS against these guys is pretty incredible cause I thought we'd have zero chance lol. It sucks that they teased us into thinking we could do this but man. these seasons suck when it's over and over and over though. Perspective doesn't matter if it keeps happening like this really really just sucks
1 inning away, scratch that, 1 hanging slider away from potentially having a 3-0 series lead and then blown out over the final 3 games Amazing turn around Some chokers
I hope they talk about the Cubs making it rather than focusing on Kersh's mediocre playoff performances save for the previous 2. Cubs deserved it and now it's time to root like hell for the Indians!!!
the season kinda also proved that maybe I shouldn't give a shit about a lot ya know? A lot of weird moves will happen, but even if they win a division, they'll be out matched. the front office this year seemed to focus on a "grit" type of team, and it actually did take us far. Roberts took this team far. Didn't get far enough. sucks
Not only did we lose in the LCS again we are gonna be the team that the cubs beat to get to the World Series. Like I said Thursday night.....go Indians.
what hurts me too is that i don't know if falling short in the playoffs year in and year out is worse then sucking ass and then building a force. I use to think I'd rather make it every year and make every year fun and competitive, but it begins to hurt too much ya know
You have your so called best pitcher on the mound in a must win game, and he shits the bed. On top of that your lineup cant get 1 run off a right hander. This is a structual problem, top down.
im not right, Homer is right, the bible is right, etc... moderns believe it means something like 'if everyone is deficient then someone with only a minor handicap seems special'. but its more like that if the blind people follow blind leaders they will all fall into a ditch and die a pastor knows his sheep (the blind), if he is a good shepherd he has foresight to not fall in the ditch because shepherds know how to survey the land. and therefore nobody falls in the ditch the proverb is found in many parts of the bible and also in greek works and im sure in other ancient books odin blinded himself in his quest for wisdom, ie foresight the metaphor is about not preferring a sensual perception (eyesight) to a spiritual perception (foresight) if a man has foresight that other men do not have then all of their talents mean nothing (blind) and he with his one eye (insight) is the true king (philosopher-king)
That's what pisses me off. I can't accept this from Kershaw. It's just horrid. No matter what the offense didn't do.
Lost to a better team. Hopefully Kershaw can pitch in a 3-2 series lead next year, and not rely on a player who started in High-A as well. Hope the Cubs take it. Time to drink.
We were behind the 8 ball for the entire long ass year and it finally caught up to us. A healthy Kershaw, full season of Julio and JDL plus getting Trace back, a full season of Toles in the lead off spot. We were just outmatched but the future (getting tired of saying it myself) is brighter than I ever remember. ALAS though it's wait til next year again!!! :ranting:
