Lol you guys are cunts. Expect a Dodger/Cubs NLCS more times than not the next 5 years. Hopefully they're not our big red machine of the 70's... this FO gets a B for me. Missing pieces but the core is there
Expect a Dodgers/ Cubs NLCS in 5 years...maybe. Maybe. It's the Dodgers who are the cunts...as we saw yesterday on display. Big blue cunts. Lol if you think we'll be back against the Cubs without Turner or Jansen, or down the road a little, Kershaw if they walk. Or don't want to be part of the new economy headed our way But we always have Blanton. And Baez. And the core. Which I guess is Seagar. Oh, and uh...Grandal? Unless it's Agon, Howie, Utley, Ethier, Reddick, Puig, Ruiz, Kike and Culberson, and a mysterious Joc. That core?
Reasonable expectation moving forward, although, I caution not to look past the Nats as they were missing some impact pieces as well with Ramos and Strasburg shelved. But yeah, somebody's gonna be the 1st to jump and say the Dodgers won't be in the playoffs next season..wait for it. It may come soon, it may come after the winter meetings, but it is coming. [no homo]
Dylan Hernandez is such a creep. I feel most of us have earned the right to criticize the FO, because we ultimately like where they are taking us and give credit where it's due. But Dylan Hernandez just hates the front office no matter what. And he got what he wanted. We get eliminated and he releases his article of validation. What a douche.
B- final score for me. Two games away from a World Series, but ultimately we left gaping, left handed holes in our lineup, and didn't have a third pitcher of a good enough standard to save us a game.
Actually, it's true...we do have depth. Lots of it is pure shit, but without it, we don't make it to where we got. A miracle in itself really. The depth is probably why, and DR's use of it. The decent depth, that is. But if the depth that hasn't seen a damn day in the Show, or a little demitasse cup of coffee up, is supposed to be a solid "core", then I believe we're putting a whole lot of hope on a bunch of kids that haven't proven shit yet, just like we always do. Yeah, it's called journalism. And called it absolutely right, too, as much as it may garner individual hatred and name calling. Douchebaggery or not, he is a correct douchebag. Can't have everyone touting and taint licking the genius FO without a dissenter here and there. And the results are the same as always, with or without them. In the end, they meant nothing in end results. Nothing. That is a stone cold unchanging fact, regardless of " direction". Utimately, the credit you heap on them all still remains to be seen and realized. Whenever that may come. Right now, in the shadow of the total team collapse we all just witnessed, they are highly over rated. Without a doubt.
B- Failure to field a competent starting staff and roster so susceptible to LH pitching keeps me from grading them any higher.
The odds of any team having all their key players healthy when the playoffs start is about 20%. If you consider Strasburg a key player for the Nats, then the Nats odds drop to about 1%. The guy is so injury prone the Dodgers are already checking on his uniform size. The Nats aren't the Cubs. Then again, the Dodgers aren't the Cubs either. So I think a lot of LAvWAS NLDS's are in the near future, with the Cubs kicking the winner's ass.
If the nerds aren't giving themselves an F, then they deserve an F on that basis. Either way, it's an F. Probably not the best time to fill out a report card, but it is what it is.
Well, of course and that's where LAD's depth comes into play, but also timing and the wrong pieces being gone. Strasburg obviously deals with his stuff, but that still doesn't account for Ramos' freak injury. Ramos, who is basically the Nats' quarterback and was playing at a high level, probably a higher level than any other catcher in the NL. I wouldn't look past the Mets either, for obvious reasons. Dodgers should have their hands full with both moving forward, but whats a WS w/o competition? Not even reality. As far as the Cubs kicking every and anybody's ass moving forward, I can't go that far, LAD had a 2-1 lead on them that could've been a 3-0 lead if not for Blanton's hanging slider and obviously - who knows how health impacts the picture, guys are up and down - like Heyward. LAD will be in the picture.
Where was he before we got eliminated? Almost as pathetic as his the LA Times reporter who crowned the Padres NL West Champions in 2015.
Not as pathetic at all...one was correct, the other was a overblown prediction. I don't know what you mean exactly by " where was he"? You can hate him and think he is the world's biggest douchebag...that'A OK with me. I have no horse in that race, for sure. But the guy was right. If we didn't lose like the perrenial chokers we are, and we were going to the WS instead of the Cubs, he would have been uh...wrong about the FO. But he wasn't. What does it matter anyway? Now? It's just like it always was. If people need to pretend these guys are the answer and it's all different now from what it was...whatever gets you through the night. Lol. I see the same boring shit. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong...but the only thing I see that has changed, is that the 8 has changed to a 9...y' know...now it's 29 instead of 28. At least.
