The delusion of Bernie winning was never going to happen.
Youth are very easy to motivate, it is hard for most because they do not know how to speak to youth.
Bernie knows how.
But to motivate them is only half the battle.
Because kids are very easy to motivate.
And while you have their attention for this month, next month the new whatever comes out and so will their attention to you. Sure not all, but enough of them to matter.
So when it becomes time to go to the polls your fervent youth movement becomes flat beer.

Not a delusion at all.
Trump was a delusion to all at the time, now in hindsight we see Hillary as the delusion. That is a cheating argument.
Hillary was the defacto next president. She was all but crowned by the media and foreign heads of state. It was fate.
It is delusional for you to just flip an argument and create an analogy that has no relevancy.
In other words, you are making shit up using your own will. Which is the reality you experienced turned into your own personal memories which create whatever lie your body (feelings) believes it needs at the moment to square a circle that wont fit.

Bernie and Trump were the delusions. You were there and experienced the delusion first hand like the rest of us.
One delusion won. Why there is so much disillusion in the followers of the president.
And why the Bernie movement floated into the air like so much dust and chaff.

The truth is that Hillary was the best and only candidate for the democrats in America.
But that is only because the democrats in America have been plied with shiny objects for years and sold into a form of psychological slavery.

We have strong reasons to believe that the Dodgers will win. Lots of things point in that direction.
It would be delusional for the Giants fans to believe they will win.
Hillary is like Boston Red Sox to the Democrats ESPN.

Truth is that we have lost the love of God in this country and so without that we are lost as a country and are in dire need of savings.

 

Slavery is always around.
Fighting against it will result in much misery for all the slaves.
Then slavery becomes systemised and stratified.
And the slave must learn how to navigate himself out of the slave traps.
Slavery always starts out because one of your own kind set you a trap and then sold you to slave traders.
God shows you how to work in that system to set you many different kinds of freedoms, shows you what is your right but also that rights are your most powerful weapon and you should use them very sparingly and with great care because the more we need them the more we show how needy we are. Government is your governor and you should allow yourself to be governed. If government gets to tyrannical and there is slavery God shows you how to best be a good slave or be a good master and how a good master/slave relationship will undoubtedly lead to gradual equality of all in due time. When the patients are given the keys to the asylum too quickly before everyone has learned the hard lessons that must be learned the doctors either run away play the fool or die, and patients become the new doctors and hand out all the drugs and money to them and their 'friends' bankrupting the state and stopping the slow steady saning of the nation.

Having God in your life is supposed to help civilize you from an ape into a human being. It is like a change in mindset that then has ripple effects throughout your life. But only if you want to really get into it and not just want to be about knowing some bible facts and then telling everyone how you are a better human being than they are.
We are all monkeys trying to be humans but whenever we face a tough choice and we say 'fuck it' and follow natural instincts to take over we are apes again and no longer sapiens.

But we like them gold chains, yo!

I really like the way you said this. It's a very important point. You are born with your rights, and they are inalienable. They aren't given to you by anyone else-at least no other human or group of humans.

I also agree that in the big picture, departure from religion, or religious values has made us selfish, self-righteous, and generally discourteous.

But as an atheist (or sorts) I dont think religion is strictly necessary for these values and beliefs. You can believe thar your rights (life, liberty, ownership of your labor, etc) are yours and given to you by the universe. You can also respect the rights and beliefs of others without external morality.
