Like im getting an ultrasound yesterday and the tech is a big thick white girl with big everythings and a face like a fatter Kate Winslet. She is all on my junk (she was checking an issue down my pants) and was talking about the names she gives dudes when she goes out and cussing like a sailor with me and being super loosey goosey with the flirting at this very professional image center. So we are talking about hoodies and how I need to lift mine up higher because it keeps falling into her field of view and how she just got a new 50 buck hoodie because she is the type of gal who goes after what she likes. Basically, everything she was telling me was about how she is bold and does what she feels like when she feels like it and goes after what she wants. From clothing to career to dudes. Im like, I buy mine at Walmart for 10 bucks because I go through so many of them everywinter. And she is like... "I bet all your girlfriends take your hoodies". And my reaction was pretty direct. "Maybe before, but im married now". She was like "oh" and looked down and was much more professional going forward. I felt a little bad for her, but then I imagine my wife would be really happy that I said what I said. But I did not do it on purpose, it just came out without thinking. Maybe that means that I am starting to get used to being a married person. Because I was not intending to cunt block her like that.
Why she gotta be a bitch, bro?? Was she a Dodger fan and complained about losing or something? I read she was pretty religious...Christian Science...couldn't get a blood transfusion or whatever. She was always filmed through a gauze to cut down on the freckles she had everywhere. Yeah, baby.
Yeah no shit, right? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? If it ends right there that's one thing but when that same scorned woman has her fingernails all dug in around your nut sack if can quickly become quite another...
Want to see maybe the most totally insane mind blowing movie you ever saw? And I'm not talking about a bunch of actors you've never heard of...major players in it. Big time. And all are great in it. "Mother!" Beyond nuts...you can't believe what you are seeing. Lol.
Saw it Thursday. Really good and really weird. Same guy made Black Swan and Noah. But toward the end, with the baby, holy shit.
I'm still trying to figure out whether it was your personal declaration of independence on cinema, or that people like me that go to the movies are lemming scumbags that hate America...who knew? Guess my old man time isn't as valuable as the next guy's. I just thought I was killing a Friday afternoon...
huh? life's too short to drink Sauza but that was a nice rant Big list to all fuck off forever.. I'm all good with avoiding certain movies (crying weepy drivel) and I agree that going out to piss away $50 is stupid when I can wait 6 weeks and watch it for $1 at home but movies are still cool to watch as a genre. You were on a rather broad rant as BZ notes, so which exact movie pissed you off I don't care to know. oh we're mostly hopeless, we're Dodgers fans but I do have Don Julio in the cabinet and a lime tree outside for when it matters
not sure how you read that into what he said some of us are just having a hard time separating the messianic pinheads from the story the smug arrogant preaching both in the movie and in real life is just too much steals the joy and wonder out of the art itself especially when the message is so clearly bent to one side i related completely to it but didn't read anything but his opinion nothing there putting anyone down that doesn't see it that way
Really didn't mean to bring up his bad feelings about all those things he mentioned either...just reported on a unique film I saw, that's all...the "I have better things to do with my time and money, etc., etc". is a bit pointed comparing himself toward those that did go and see it, isn't it? And oddly, the guy gets very good actors to work in his films, top stars...just like he did for a laughable pos he made,"Noah". I guess no one reads the scripts ? Jeezuz man, it's just a movie, not a life choice.
Lots of guys have miss steps and Noah is definitely his. But Black Swan, The Wrestler, and now mother!, imo, are great films.
