    agreed
for whatever reason his return is supposedly minimal
    weird, but whatev
for me belli is the better/long term answer at 1b
but it's not like cody is a shitty outfielder, and it gets max's bat in the lineup so...

verdugo needs to given a shot
amazing that a pretty much one-dimensional guy like joc purportedly garners so much interest (and continues to get playing time despite his obvious shortcomings/limitations against lhp)... yet a guy with verdugo's high ceiling has gotten virtually no chance and probably would have been the first one sent packing if we had acquired harper

I think the problem is that Verdugo's ceiling isn't high enough. He does things that this particular group needs, but he's more than likely not a star in waiting. It sounds like Lux has more star potential than Verdugo. They may end up hitting 2-3 in OKC and we'll really get to see what's what

I remember the same thing, when he first came up his defense was supposed to be as highly regarded as his offense. Looking at the numbers, his dWAR his first 3 years was 0, 0, 0 - so not good, but serviceable. 2017 is when the decline happened, as he posted a -1.1 dWAR.

Unrelated, 2017 is also when Ben & Jerry's introduce Truffle Kerfuffle.

Rosenthal is reporting that the Dodgers real offer to Bryce was a 3 year deal, with opt-outs, over $34.4M AAV, but "well below $40M" a year.

Gnats president and CEO Larry Baer caught on video fighting with wife and dragging her to the ground while trying to take her cellphone away.

    Not a good look.

If he’s stupid enough to do that in public, imagine what goes on in the house.

    speaking of the sfkags...

"I think we're going to surprise a lot of people," first baseman Brandon Belt said Thursday.

only surprise would be that belt was heterosexual

They have got to be the oldest team in baseball. The average age of their starters has to be 30 or more.

(1/2) Just interviewed Larry Baer: “My wife and I had an unfortunate public argument related to a family member & she had an injured foot and she fell off her chair in the course of the argument...”

“He went on to explain how the ground inexplicably dragged his wife downward.”

“I was shocked. Anyway, I straightened he......umm.....I mean we straightened it out later at home.”

    nice spin attempt larry

“My wife and I had an unfortunate public argument related to a family member & she had an injured foot and she fell off her chair in the course of the argument,” said Baer.

San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer was involved in an altercation with his wife in which he knocked her out of a chair and to the ground. The altercation was captured on video by someone at the scene and acquired by TMZ.

Lol The aggressive move for the phone was wild, but at the same time he just sort of pulled her to the ground and she's screaming bloody murder like he's whippin her ass and not trying to get a phone. They're both crazy as a couple shithouse rats there.

I want to know what was on that phone. And I wish she had been wearing a wig. Would've been funnier had a wig come flying off

I’m sure MLB HQ are readying their questions as we speak.

If players get scrutinized about domestic issues, I think owners should be held to a higher standard as well.

With the money and power comes responsibility.....or at least don’t look like a fool in public.
