Mowin'em down. Bitches couldn't even get the ball out of the infield, let alone a hit. Even Muncy was like..uuuuh, I got nothin. 96..watching..right down the dick. Credit Muncy for being ready as soon as Stras left the hill though. Soto is 20 years old having better ABs than our best hitters. Twenty fucking years old. If LAD loses this series because they couldn't tack on another run or two against Stras..nothin, I got nothin. I know it started out sounding pretty threatening, but I got nothin..Guggs doesn't give a fuck. Just keepin showin up to the games and hold these bobbleheads, bitches
We have too many players that smash HRs in 11-2 games vs the Rockies in July while striking out in every big situation.
If a team like LAD can't put together anything against great pitching, they don't deserve to win. Waiting until the bullpen is in to mount a charge is trash. Small potatoes shit. That's for teams like the Royals/A's/Rays, that have a 1/3 of the payroll that LAD has. Paying all this money over the years for starters that can't get through 2 innings without giving up 3 and 4 runs, and hitters that can't get the ball out of the damn infield, let alone a hit. Fundamentally flawed fuckery..say it 3 times fast
They were probably washing our balls on Thursday. They have no memory or foresight. They react to the most recent result and do a 180 the next day. They're like fans but get paid to be JOUrNalYSts and anAalYsts.
Ryu on 8 days rest, Scherzer pitching the third time in a week... we can do this Sunday. But, as @Fall Winslow said, these suckers can’t rely on trying to win in the 6th/7th inning. Corbin might come out of the bullpen, or they might only need Doolittle/Hudson. Not like our bullpen can’t give up a couple runs. Cautiously optimistic but we really need one more consistent hitter after Muncy/Turner kinda Joc. Just one more and we’ll score enough also, in retrospect, Turners error fucked up the first inning but he did made a lot of good plays after which was relaxing to see.
totally agree after last night imagining this team wasting a game like last night against any of the remaining teams? just get it over w now and let the heads roll
Why did Roberts and the brain trust go with CK in game 2. Should've been Ryu to give us a chance at a 2-0 start. Given the proven track record of CK failings....I still don't get the CK love this management affords this choke artist.
I do think Ryu is better than Kershaw and that he prob should’ve been given game 2 but I’ll say this: if Ryu started game 2, I still think we lose Cause of the offense. And going to DC, down 2-0, with Kershaw on the mound... yikes, I would’ve not watched
Pretty much. Obviously, Scherzer is one of the biggest chokers this side of Kershaw. They must..they must put together something against that choker on Sunday. Because I'm pretty sure we have Martinez's strategy down at this point. If Scherzer holds the lineup down, Corbin will get the call from the pen on Sunday and knife through LAD for a couple innings and voila. Joc will obviously be dead on Corbin's arrival, so that's one man down. So they better do something against Scherzer with the Corbin cloud hanging over Game 3 ( and 4). They didn't really do a damn thing to Corbin in Game 1. And then if LAD is facing elimination it's all hands on deck with Stras available out of the pen in Corbin's start. Merry go rounded to death. Seager didn't get the results he wanted, and he definitely swung at like 10 balls that last AB, but he battled more than most. Is he close? Time will tell. I don't know what Seager needs to do..maybe shrink. He's down on one knee in some of the strangest looking positions when he swings, no wonder he's hurt all the time. You know, if you have to drop down to a knee to hit a pitch, it might just be worth pulling back and checking the swing?
Seems to me Kershaw has been shitting the bed in the early innings and then becoming very effective for some time now so why isn't the brain trust front office having him throw an extra 25 real pitches in the bullpen before every start? What would be better, having an effective Kershaw for maybe one less inning before going to the bullpen or spotting the other team 3 or 4 runs early and having the bullpen work less? Bottom line, the older you get, the more you need to stretch and warm up, especially for a MLB pitcher with back problems. That ain't just in baseball either. That's common sense in life. His BP work needs to be different right before the game. Maybe a different training regimen for him is in order? We've got at least two more years of this shit to endure.
Things don't look good but could be worse. Could be down 0-2 and have Kershaw pitching game 3 but it's tied 1-1 with Ryu very well rested. Still don't know if it'll be Max or Sanchez pitching for the Nats. Hopefully the bats come alive early and take the crowd out of it early. What do you think the lineup will look like?? I would like to see something like this. 1. Joc - RF 2. Freeze 1B 3. Muncy 2B 4. Turner 3B 5. Bellinger CF 6. Smith C 7. Beaty LF 8. Seager SS Maybe even start CT3 over Seager but I'd be shocked if Roberts did that. I think we see something similar to game 2s lineup unfortunately so something like this. 1. Joc - RF 2. Turner 3B 3. Muncy 1B 4. Bellinger CF 5. Pollock LF 6. Seager SS 7.Smith C 8. Lux 2B
Also read that Kershaw and Baez were possibly tipping their pitches in game 2. There's video of Trea Turner talking about it to his teammates. Guess they'll never learn!?!
seems a little crazy we never get accused of noticing tipping on other pitchers let alone our own doesn't it?
