Me too. Treanor is just a terrible hitter, he has the absolute worst ABs. If you have him there cause he prepares well, that's cool, let him prepare and teach FedEx how to do so but FedEx is good enough behind the plate and hopefully he can hit the ball hard once in awhile.
YEAH, HE'S iTALIAN AND HIS MOTHER PROBABLY TAUGHT HIM A RECIPE FOR MEATBALLS...BECAUSE HE'S BEEN THROWIN' UP THERE LATELY. I DON'T GET IT. HE HAS THE GUY WHO KILLS US AB ( VINNY MAY HAVE MENTIONED IT-NOT SURE), MONTERO, THEN GETS THE GUY 0-2, THEN GIVES HIM A HR DERBY PITCH. I COULD BE WRONG, BUT IN HIS LAST 17 INNINGS, HE'S GIVEN UP 15 RUNS. I'M NOT POSITIVE, BUT I DON'T THINK THAT'S TOO GOOD. EVEN IF WE DO START HITTING, THAT KIND OF SHIT IS GOING TO BE TOUGH TO DEAL WITH.
the Cards play the Mets, the Pirates play the Astros, Braves play the Rockies, and Giants play the DBacks. Er, lets beat the Padres real bad.
Cap probably hasn't thrown this many innings in years. His fastball was a lot better earlier in the year. He could spot it and had a little more crispness to it. I think he is worn out. He wasn't a 2.75 ERA pitcher, but he's not a serving tray either. I just think he is worn out. Maybe Ely can spell him one start.
Because Vic hasn't been a lead off hitter before he got here. Remember, jimmy Rollins was the leadoff hitter in Philly and Vic was usually 2nd when they were good. We put him there because we didn't have a lead off hitter. Now, eveen though Ellis isn't a leadoff hitter, he is a good OBP guy and can drive the bottom lineup in, so it might be our best bet. We've won like 3 out of 5 games this way I think. Anyway, I like it this way. Vic wasn't doing to good leading off and seems to be doing a little better 2nd.
Yeah cap isn't early 2012 Cap...but he's still capable of winning games if the bats do their job. imagine that late inning shit we did today early in the game....it will be epic!
Look how depressed the DBacks announcers are: http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=24447279&topic_id=&c_id=mlb&tcid=vpp_copy_24447279&v=3
