I can just about hear Dave across the clubhouse.... "OK KiKe, it's lights out and no one else is coming into the showers.... GTF out here, get dressed and leave, ya fucken Finook!"
Throwing anything but a fastball to him is a horrendous bit of scouting or pitch calling. For once Puig wasn't the dumbest guy on the diamond.
Isn't it amazing how Kike's blatant finookism, chest hump to Turner aside, doesn't mean jack shit now that he is hitting?
Man, what could have been with Silverio. He had been on a tear and looked like a legit 5 tool player. Wasn't it another car crash in the DR that threw off everything?
have to think the nerds would probably ship joc in the right deal his defense is legit, and he'll bang some big bombs occasionally, but i think we've pretty much seen who he is... a <.250 hitter who's going to k a lot high risk/reward, kinda like a mark trumbo/mark reynolds who plays good d idk
In CF that is not so bad. I dont know if Taylor is the answer long term at CF, even if his hitting continues. If all other positions are taken by talented producers then CF can be the position where you hide a guy like Joc or even Puig in the future. Bat them 8th and have their defense/arm in CF offset their lack of big time hitting.
uh what? you put the best arm in rf the best of/athlete in cf and hide players in lf and right on cue, nice route puig
Hide him offensively, as in at the end of the lineup. Neither Joc nor Puig is living up to a good standard offensively. But their OF abilities are very impressive. A good team can get away with having weak hitting SS/CF/RF/C if the rest of the spots are producing big offensively. LF has been productive since Bellinger, and before that with Toles/Guttierrez it was ok. But 1B has been weak all year and while we are strong at SS and C it would be better if we only had to carry one of Puig or Joc in the lineup. Which means Puig to CF may be an option again now that he has slimmed down some. Joc may be the better trade piece and as a CF the production we are getting from Puig against righties is pretty nice. Basically warming the seat for Verdugo.. or is that Bryce Harper.
Joc is an enigma. But is tempting trade bait as is Puig for another SP given we have Cody, Taylor and a few other options in the outfield.
if joc can be the cornerstone of a deal for a stud SP that can beat Alex wood for the 2 spot how do u not?
