Yeah, I know, they haven't done a damn thing for years. But this is another team that I have always been a loyal fan to. When I lived on the "left coast" I believe I was the only Rams fan in the state of Oregon. That was before they won their only superbowl vs Tennessee and a day when many tears were shed. Now I wear my Faulk or Warner jersey to work at Tampa international airport every Sunday and even sometimes on Monday just to piss off the bucs fans. Goff is playing his ass off and further along the learning curve that I thought he'd be. And Gurley brings that SEC attitude with him, which at times is being lazy. The young coach has got this team believing in itself and buying into his offensive craziness. I don't know if it will last the whole season and there are some tough games yet to play, but I'm loving it right now. Did I mention I HATE THE seahawks and this team has got to figure out how to beat them. Well I hope there are some Rams fans here or is there another board that Rams fans post on?
there's some rams love from @BlueMouse, @THINKBLUE and a couple others but i'm moving this to the dodgers forum since none of those fkags ever venture outside
No love for the Rams but I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a little exciting. I grew up a fan as a kid but Fran Tarkenton and Roger Staubach broke my heart every year. And then came Georgia.... BLEEECHHHH!!! Some Rams loyalty may come in time, and I'm not ruling it out but The Raiders are still my team.
Most die-hard LA Rams fans are in their 40s-50s or older. The newest fans are young kids who will grow up with them as a team. I totally understand why they aren't front page news. They have to earn our attention. Love especially won't happen overnight. That said, I have been all-in on the idea of the LA Rams since before they moved back. I'm glad they are here and I hope they become a competitive team. That new stadium is going to be sweet and I hope they draw from their history when they change their uniforms in 2019. I like the Youngblood Dickerson uniforms the best, but like the Fearsome Foursome blue and whites as well.
I stuck with them after the move, but it wasn't the same, even after they won it all. This year's turnaround is nothing short of miraculous after last year's cluster fuck. Goff doesn't look like the same QB. Credit to McVay and Goff (of course).
been without a team since they left but my interest in football just isn't there was def excited they came back
At least McCourt didn't kill anyone (that we know of)... Bring back the old blue & white uniforms... I hate the Cowboys and Vikings to this day for those playoff losses in the 70's... I know, I know, way before a lot of your guys time, but it's kind of like Raiders vs Patriots hate...
Fran Tarkenton, the Mud Bowl, Hollywood Henderson, Roger Staubach.............a lot of hate built up back then.
Honestly, if the Rams can host and win 1 playoff game, it'll be a major step for the team and city. Attendance is down around the league and the Rams best chance of filling the Coliseum is the Eagles game in December and a potential playoff game.
Pause thread: .... and somewhere in the world Jeff Fisher knows, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that he sucks at coaching football! resume thread
The Saints game in New Orleans and the Eagles game at the Coliseum may be flexed for Sunday Night Football. EDIT: Both games are at the Coliseum. I don't see NBC dropping a Packers-Steelers game though
They looked good again today but must find a way to beat the shithawks. The next 4 games will decide their fate but Goff has grown up big time. It's just nice to be able to wear the Faulk and Warner jersey to work at Tampa International airport to piss off all the bucs fans. Props to Irish and those responsible for moving the thread here.
And sucks at evaluating talent and being part of running a successful football program. Does anyone like Jeff Fisher anywhere?
