Dodgers aren’t out on him until his agent successfully uses their name to drive his price up for someone else

Didn't the Cardinals blow the Braves out like 100-0 in the post? Yeah I don't ever remember thinking the Braves were breaking through. I mean even though they've been finishing 1st in the east I've always focused on the Nats as the true contenders over there because of their frontline starting pitching. But you're right, the Braves definitely fed on the underbelly of the LAD blue whale and they got plenty juiced from it. LAD being so far ahead in the chip count at the time probably led to them feeling that any bet was a drop in the bucket. I could see that. Everyone was a puny human at the time. Braves proved to be different. That said, LAD also proved that they're one surprise threat away from - poof - Mookie Betts

Yeah I also doubt Ramirez is available. And LAD actually may not even have what they'd want beyond May/Lux if he were. They actually already have a young catcher at the top of their farm, so Ruiz may not appeal to them and he's closest to being ready. Whatever. It's not going to happen. They're gonna come to terms with Turner and keep the heart intact. Would be very surprised if Bryant didn't end up in the AL, Jays probably the top option but as you mention the Braves they actually were in on Bryant about a year ago so maybe they strike here. And if they don't, and we do, do the Braves pivot to....Turner?

I'll say this for that rumor..only makes sense to be in on Lindor so it's not like it's one of those outlandish Nightenfail reports. Anyway just talked about the macro issue going on at SS. If they truly want to optimize the team they'll eventually find a real one. Till then guess we hope for the best w/Seager. Could be worse. Given the SS heavy market next offseason, Lindor potentially wants to strike now..or maybe Lindor will wiggle free of Met mediocrity and land with LAD next offseason?

Wanna build a home with cracks in the foundation? Hand Boras and Seager the monster deal. Still love Seager, but the info and circumstances have changed. Hip surgery, back issues, elbow, etc. Hope for the best, but it is what it is

BTW, who gains the most by acquiring Lindor? Gotta say the team that won the WS

With that said, could easily see the Tribe's douche FO requesting that the Dodgers pay the ole Dodgers only tax and earning a strong " nope " in response. Would really suck for Lindor

Right before our eyes. Justin Turner has transformed into Justin Boras.

We could be days away from another big scandal breaking loose in MLB. The Angels recently fired an employee for providing a mixture to help pitchers doctor up baseballs to get more movement. This guy had been doing it for a long time and feels like a scapegoat and is saying that everyone in the org knew about what he did... Well he is now providing names and messages from players past and present that he has helped and has former players that are vouching on his behalf. He’s already provided info on Garrett Cole and Justin Verlander among others. This comes at an interesting time as Trevor Bauer a year+ ago was trying to say that the Astros PITCHERS were cheating as well by using foreign substances that cause the RPM on their pitches to skyrocket. He said the only way to see such a drastic change overnight was to cheat and use a foreign substance. Than, this season in his FA year, he saw the SAME improvements that these guys did. There’s belief that he used some concoction to help with his spin rate and due to his personality, teams are wondering whether he will go back to his old ways or continue to potentially cheat. Wouldn’t be shocked if MLB sweeps it under the rug, but it could get interesting if it blows up.

There’s no doubt. Coles spin rates went way up allowing him to pitch up in the zone and he was changed as a pitcher.

Verlander threw a pitch with a fresh ball that got fouled off and caught by a fan who later posted a pic of the ball and it had index and middle finger marks in black/ brown coloration plain as day showing his grip. It was tacky to the touch. A few quick searches and you can find it all.

I was posting in the game thread of a World Series game where the Astros pitcher kept going to the back of his hat and you could see black shiny shit all over it. It’s blatant. I think Jomboy later did something on it too.

Bauer definitely used it this year. I’m too lazy but I think there’s some footage or article where he says so.

It’s an open secret that a lot of guys are using some substance to increase spin rate. My guess is it goes nowhere cuz Manfred won’t want another scandal under his belt.

If any of this is true, there is no way it's going to stay hidden. Too many videos, internet sites, super slow mo, digital enhancements, plus too many people involved to keep it a secret too long. We are way past steroids when it comes to visible evidence of cheating.

MLB and Manfred needs to get ahead of the story and then pretend they actually did something about it (even if they really won't).

Would love for the Astros to get nailed again. MLB may have no choice but to pull the WS from them because you could argue the players didn't come clean about other cheating schemes when they had a chance to confess the first time. No more cooperation severance.

Other pitchers names are Felix Hernandez, Max Scherzer, Adam Wainwright, and a bunch of angels pitchers. Angels pitchers were using it wrong I guess though

and fwiw Bauer is already on this article on Twitter raising his hand high how he said it happened years ago while also denying he used any foreign substance

I guess he actually only denied using pine tar, but I mean if 70% or more of pitchers are actually using it than this is much ado about nothing

Bauer has all but admitted to using his own concoction as a way of saying screw you to the rest of MLB.
