Turner's WAR is 3.6, Bellinger's WAR is 2.2. Turner has a .472 OBP. The only thing he has against him is that he was out for 3 weeks in the middle of the voting period. But Justin Turner leads our team in WAR and has the 5th highest WAR in the NL... he should be an easy pick for the all star game.

The voting system is dumb and starts WAY too early. Voting should be one weekend at the end of June/beginning of July. I don't know why people are voting for all stars at the beginning of May.

    i won't vote and here's why... i don't care
it's a meaningless game that determines nothing
ws > nl champ > division champ > about 100 other things > all star game

It's like saying Murdock has the cutest ass on the A-Team... Obviously true, but I personally don't care.

    Boo.

Although, to be honest, I'd rather none of our guys actually play in the game. But JT and Wood deserve to be there.

It's not like the voting gives the advantage to anyone. Everyone now can stuff the ballot box, everyone seems to have a fricking phone or a laptop or tablet so why not support your own. The only people who say it doesn't matter are the ones who aren't playing in it.

We can agree to disagree on the larger point but I hope we can agree that just because the guys aren't on a LA station that everyone can watch is an excuse not to vote. We have ESPN, CBS Sports, MLB Network and Fox all on basic cable. Attendance is #1 and they aren't ALL season ticket holders. Did baseball go on hiatus during this time without Dodger baseball on the TV other than SportsnetLA??? Is this a new franchise, is Corey and JT not well known in LA? With the Lakers sucking these past 3 years and the Rams being irrelevant Dodger baseball is pretty all there is sports wise. Drives me crazy when I people blame it the lack of a TV deal. WE SHOULD have a TV deal but how can you not know about these guys.

Let me be just straight up here. I voted for JT yesterday like 3o times or so. It fucking sucked. I had to type a new code in each time before submitting my vote. FUCK THAT!!! Who the fuck has the time or patience to do that.

I dont feel like doing it and Cholos don't vote for shit either.

    Voting is like Voting.
Useless, obviously rigged in some obfuscated way, biggest crybabies get rewarded.
And there are always people ready to tell you how important it is that you vote.
That it is your fault that their pet did not win best in show.
Voting, at the end of the day after all is said and done all you are left with is a lot of trash, preening pricks, sad sacks, annoying assholes, and loads of dog shit.

Voted again for JT with another email address. Tomorrow I'm going to a BBQ, any kids that are there I will pay them each $1 if they vote for JT 35 times.

I really want JT to have the opportunity to go to the AS game.
Not only has he earned it on the field, but he's been such a great story.
Local guy from Mayfair HS and Cal State Fullerton.
One of those guys that's hard not to be a fan of.

I'm not sure isn't there was a problem with this on the NL side this year, but I don't like it when a top vote getter is injured and not going to play or is out for the season, like Mike Trout.

It seems unfair but I can see the argument from the other side too. It still doesn't seem right though.
