    thing is: They can't make many changes that would make them a better team on paper. The starting pitching had 4 all star caliber pitchers. The bullpen had 3 elite righties and 2 damn good lefties. the offense was deep.

    It was a fantastic run and they probably won't have a better team than this in awhile. The past 5 years they've had every type of team imaginable and it hasn't mattered. The fun times have been great but yeah...

    just saying you can't watch a shaky guy that can't get his slider over nibble corners and get launched by this team
    it all added up but look how quick the astros gave the hook
    he had all his guys available and didn't play like the house was on fire

    After this series, I truly believe I'll never see us win a WS. This team was a juggernaut and won in every way possible all season long yet fell short while 3 Giants teams with clear flaws fluked WS runs. This sport is fucking cruel.

    Agree, there’s nothing left to do except execute the next time. FO did its job. Players failed.

    I never had a good feeling about Darvish. Got shit on in his only postseason start as a Ranger and was getting lit up by teams like the Padres. Fooled us with two good starts when we led 2-0 and he had no pressure.

    Fuck him.

    Doesn’t matter if Yu Darvish started or Pedro baez started or if Dave pulled Darvish in the 1st or the 6th. The offense scored 1 run off McCullers and Morton. That’s what lost the game.
