I like the enthusiasm but 9 - 0 as an Astro. In this postseason he is 4-0 with a 1.46, averaging a strikeout an inning with a WHIP of 0.93. Career postseason he is 11-3 with a 3.00, averaging a strikeout an inning too with a WHIP of 1.06. None of those guys you mentioned is this guy and although we are a fastball hitting team we are in for a huge battle. As for their hitters I am afraid that after seeing Clayton's curveball that it won't be as daunting against Rich Hill. Just keep it close Rich!!!:pray::pray::pray:

Hoping to get Barnes some rest and I guess Doc doesn't think Dre can catch up with Verlander's fastball?

barnes > grandal, simple as that
also, the heat wouldn't be good on yasmani's hair plugs

as for dre, i'm thinking joc's edge on defense was the deciding factor

He couldn't get Arrieta's so yeah, this seems to make some sense. Hoping for a little Scherzer magic of Joc running into one.

small sample size, but hill with some pretty good #'s against houston
but he needs to be sharp -- the ball is going to be carrying in the heat

I'd rather have Logan than Utley.

Probably since there are two more righties ahead and the DH spot available. Only way that changes is we go up 3-0 and I would bet that we see Keuchel on short rest for game 4... Let's hope they have to make that decision.

    Mark Willard ✔@Mark_T_Willard
Per source, Adrian Gonzalez, who was in LA yesterday, is expected to re-join
the Dodgers and be at Game 2 tonight.

@Mark_T_Willard per the same source, complimentary nachos and horchata
were a huge factor in adrian's decision to join his teammates. #racist

Dont let NZ hear you. He might have to sacrifice one of his virgin sheep to appease his anger.
Do you know how difficult it is to find virgin sheep in NZ?

The August outing against the Dodgers isn’t carrying much weight in Verlander’s mind...

“You know, I remember feeling good that day,” he recalled. “I think I’ll probably look a little more into it, obviously. I remember Bellinger wasn’t in the lineup. So there are things that will be different. And obviously this is a completely different situation, being a World Series game, as opposed to a midseason matchup. To be honest with you, I’m not going to take a lot into that game.”
