They better hope it’s not a long term thing. Granted his contract doesn’t blow up till what, 2027? But if he can’t ever stay healthy, oh well.
Jesus the A’s have played some really ugly baseball to start the year
looks like they're a candidate for worst record ever at this rate
David Price is trash
Price has looked fucking terrible. Wasn’t he throwing like 94-95 this winter? Where the fuck did that go?
I’m honestly a bit worried about Rios and Beaty. I think Rios needs some AB’s after missing most of the spring. Maybe a AAA stint would be good for him.
Beaty has continued to look lost at the plate. Not sure what has happened to him, but he looks nothing like the guy from 19. He may be another person that could use a couple weeks of playing everyday once AAA starts.
I think Rios will be OK. Beaty looks absolutely lost. Taking good pitches to hit and looking overmatched when he swings the bat.
Ideally I'd like to see a RH bat in Beaty's roster spot if continues to struggle.
Hoping he's still knocking the rust off. He's been total dog shit so far.
those era's tho

Good to see 2020 Kershaw again. Also good to see Treinen's A+ stuff in the 8th. Rios wakes up and Muncy is still on fire.
Anyone hear from Bluezoo lately? He would have been calling for Roberts' head after opening day.
So we have Bauer going tonight. What's ridiculous about this rotation of five starters is that there is legitimately NO weak link. Think about it. We've had strong rotations in the past - a couple aces, a very good #3, and above average #4-5. Last year we had one of our most complete staffs that I can ever recall, and the two rookies performed very well, but they were still rookies, and with that comes a measure of lower confidence (i.e. will this be the start where they figure him out?). Right now, for the first time that I can remember, EVERY night we have a pitcher going who gives me high confidence for a quality start. There is not even one of the five for whom I think, "If we can survive his start tonight we'll have our best four going over the next four games." What other team could ever say that? Braves had Maddux, Glavine, Smolz, and Avery, but then had to survive for a game with whomever their fifth was. Simply a great feeling being so stacked. (And then Gonsolin... Price... Gray... Miller... if needed).
i realize this is still the first week
but how long does roberts continue forcing pollock into the lineup?
One thing I did not miss about fans is them acting like every fly ball is a HR.
