Just look who called it. Had he been ruled safe by the King of all fuckhead umpires, it would not have been overturned either.
Yeah there's always ample evidence and yet somehow he's always in like Flynn looking for ways to haunt us
and yet we ask for it every time we assume ball 4 immediately it pisses his tiny melon off and he's Blue so he makes us pay for the not-so-entirely imagined disrespect and we don't learn ever
Look, this was a must win for the Cubs, and they responded. Tomorrow is a must win for us. We need to go back to Chicago with a lead and make the Cubs win two on a row. That's not going to happen against the Dodgers. It's gonna be close to an all hands on deck game. We can do this!
I just don't see any way we win with Kenta vs. Lester. We had our opportunity to win this matchup. Won't happen again. Lester is too good.
two thoughts it's suddenly a best of three series whoever wins tomorrow goes back to chicago with a huge advantage thought 1: tomorrow is a must win game who do you want pitching a must win game? maeda??? if kersh is ready/willing you have to let him go can't worry about game six right now cubs have the momentum if you let them win tomorrow the odds of sweeping two from them in wrigley are slim do your best to win tomorrow and go from there or... thought 2: let maeda get shelled tomorrow and try to sweep games #6 and #7 with kersh and hill going i honestly don't know which way to go think you have to save hill for game 7 regardless do you sacrifice maeda tomorrow vs lester or in chicago against hendricks? he's not winning either start imo
MLB umpires have the strongest union in sports and worse, someone with a hard on for the Dodgers overseeing them
interesting coincidence from the time the nerds told maeda they were guaranteeing his bonus he's been shit is that what motivated him to pitch so well up until that point?
I follow a New Zealand rugby league team that play in an Australian competition, and nothing gets me down more than playing against a loaded stack of cards. Every marginal call goes against us. They do not want us to win. After reading and watching videos online for about an hour. I have that same feeling. Unless we went out and blew them off the field tonight, I knew we would have a rough time. Call me bitter, a sore loser. Tell me we sucked anyway and it wouldn't have mattered, it is our own faults. But feel so powerless with a fuckhead like Hernandez behind the dish.
Headline of Bob Nightengale's latest piece of work trash: The #Cubs seize full control of NLCS from #Dodgers - and won't give it up The article is worse than the headline
Composition of the starting staff aside, this front office and on field management team has gotten them this far. I trust whatever decision they make.
Urias is the next hitter and likely makes out, so it's only 1-0. Complaining about one call early in a game where you lose by eight runs is suspect at best.
Start kersh tomorrow also lets him rest a bit for game 1 vs indians or worse comes to worse for relief in game7 this series. If we win start maeda with a short leash for maybe 3 innings and use hill after for 3 more then hand off to bullpen. Or kershaw. Go foe the jugular.
That ship has sailed. http://m.dodgers.mlb.com/news/article/206637020/dodgers-kenta-maeda-starting-game-5-of-nlcs/
hard to say what it does to chicago if they trail again, 1-0 or otherwise but that was a pivotal call regardless imo
Important call, no doubt. But Urias couldn't keep it together after that. Whether that was because of the call or just because he's the youngest pitcher to start a post season game or both, it doesn't make a difference. He just couldn't keep it together. Now for Baez and Stripling to essentially meltdown and let the game get totally out of reach from 4-0, well you can't blame anyone but Stripling and Baez....or Roberts for putting them in. Bottom line...you want to be a "champion". This is the kind of situation where you prove it. Maeda, Kershaw it doesn't matter. We just have to win tomorrow.
