3lefties in the pen at least (Avila, Wood, Dayton) and he brings in Avila AFTER Rizzo? I don't understand this at all. Roberts shit the bed there. Managing with urgency the whole post season and then giving up in the middle of a game?

It was obvious Stripling might need a short least, I can't remember the last time I seen him pitch. rusty.

 

Mentally, I'm not cut out to be a sports fan. Lol. Maybe one day all these years of suffering will be worth it, but it's so scarring watching this shit every year. I wish I was one of those guys who simply doesn't care, or a front runner. I just believe in my teams so much, like a family member. Why do I get the feeling like they are just saying Maeda will pitch game 5 but when that sun rises again it'll be announced that Kershaw is starting. I want Maeda to have a great game at Dodger stadium as much as the rest of you but the more I think about it the more I feel like sending Kersh out for game 5 might be our best bet. Win game 5 behind Kersh at home and we're in the drivers seat up 3-2 and can afford to send Maeda out for game 6 and if we lose that game then Hill will be ready on full rest for game 7 with Kenley and Kershaw out the pen?

Seriously hard decision for game 5 but fuck me I'm glad its not my choice right now. You bet your ass though if Kershaw asks for the ball then he is pitching tomorrow at Dodger stadium with the GOAT Vin Scully in attendance

 

What if we pitch Kershaw, and we lose? Then it's over. I like pitching Kenta, when he loses there's still hope. If Clayton goes and we fuck it up, stick a fork in us.

 

Yeah we're fucked at that point. I keep going back and forth but its probably best to have Maeda pitch and hope he pitches the game of his life and more importantly that the bats come alive for the last home game of this series. IIRC the Dodgers made good contact against Lester and had some solid at bats so if Maeda is on his game and the bats score early then we might have a shot at pulling out the win. Also having a game 6 start by Kershaw is huge. If the Cubs wanna win the pennant then their gonna have to fucking fight of for it.

 

Great game tonight for us. You guys have played better all series, we've just gotten hot a couple times. Tomorrow is a crucial game and I'm just as worried as you guys. Yes we have Lester going, but has our offense figured it out or was it just for tonight? I know you guys are down on Maeda, but I have this funny feeling that he's going to pitch really good tomorrow.

 

How can they call AGon at home, that was insane

That game was just stupid from the start.
JT getting picked off 2B and Utley's early error set the tone for that debacle.
The play at home against Adrian was the most blatant fuckery in a while.

I swore i wasn't going to second guess the guy but seriously wtf was that?
we just scored 2 runs and a hit would have made it four but it was like he conceded game over instead of battling?
was surrounded by a sea of cub fans and they were all wondering why stripling was out there still as well
that and our determination to send Agon when he has zero chance of scoring
but hold up Toles later...idk i just know i wish i hadn't been there to witness it first hand
my days of playoff games might be over its too fucking painful

 

Wtf is wrong with the website format?
It is much larger, all jumbled up, numbers superimposed on top of others, etc...and very difficult to navigate anywhere. Is this the new thing now?
About as fucked up as the team played last night...
