Kershaw doesn't need to take responsibility for shit. he had two bad outings, maybe. one was 4 runs in 7 innings and the other 3 runs in 5 innings. Like they weren't good but still fine enough to keep the team in the game. Not his fault the offense takes a nap every single time he pitches and/or the pen shits the bed after
Like the season in 88. We gonna trade our Pedro Guerrero/Matt Kemp for John Tudor/Cole Hamels to help us limp into the playoffs. Seager or Turner gonna shake arms rounding home after hitting a pinch hit a home run to get us pumped in the WS.
Every year with this team meeting stuff..Charmin soft If you have to hold team meetings every year to ignite guys, they're soft and the manager is soft, and that's that Where's the internal motivation? Yasmani's using his bank account and it's working..Fat Joc has a chocolate sundae dangling in front of him for motivation Many already believe LA is soft as it is Boy, do I miss TL's fat keister @ manager
If they're truly going to keep having these weak team meetings where they all re-circle their goals and throw themselves and others under the bus - each and every last one of these meetings should begin with an apology from Kershaw. He's the HOF, and big picture, they'd be swimming in WS trophies if he had the juice that Bumgarner has. If that MF pitches like himself in the post season, they're cruising right now and nobody's giving AF about a 10-14 record or whatever they are. Just open up the meeting and say " guys..I know I fucked it all up " and keep it moving on to the next schmuck - Kenley Jansen - for his apology. I'm against these meetings. Just get your asses out there and play with pride. But if you're gonna have these meetings, the best players - the marquee guys - have to take responsibility and be out front. They're likely already looked at around the clubhouse as if they can do no wrong and have all this rope to work with
He will next year. 3B: Seager SS: Machado RF: Harper CF: Bellinger 1B: Turner LF: Kemp C : Grandal 2B: Taylor Kershaw, Buehler, Wood, Ryu, Urias as our starting pitchers. Jansen, Britton, Maeda and Cingrani as our 4 main relievers. The words you love to hear are wait till next year... But at least we wont have soft ass Dave as manager. We will have hardass Utley as manager.
Ross Stripling: “I think we’re just ready to play someone else. It feels like we’ve played the Giants and the Diamondbacks 30 times." Maybe the pathetic low point in a pathetic year
I still don't get the FO philosophy about this season. The $197M thing I get, but we were 1 game short of a WS. Why skimp now? We were 2 starts and one blown game by Kershaw from winning it all......win any one of those 3 games, and I wouldn't care if we trimmed the payroll to $80M. The Guggs could save money then. They hoped all the hitters would stay healthy and have career years, and I have no idea what they expected of the SP. We're already 7 games back and getting worse....and the WC does not look like it has space for the Dodgers at the current pace. If this is the season of sacrifice, the FO better be prepared to spend big time next year for all their cost saving efforts. If they don't sign a big hitter and ace SP, we will know that this was yet another money grab like Fox years ago and those idiot car parking space a-holes. I wouldn't be able to stand yet another reset button push.
I'm glad we are under the tax threshold, at least it's something positive. This team is so much more than 2, 3, or 4 players away from being relevant. We could have signed Darvish, Arrieta, and Morrow and we'd still be shit, only more embarrassing because we'd have a bigger payroll.
LeBron the black Ohtani may be available soon All the talk of LeBron signing with LA this summer..Magic may need LeBron to pull double duty and help this damn LAD bullpen
some things are more important than baseball actually, a lot of things are more important than baseball family is #1 imo god bless you and your family bro
So just like every season since Adrian/Beckett/Crawford/Hanley + the Greinke signing? Haha Yeah, I'm good with getting under the lux tax as well..the league wants LAD to play the game, play the game I don't mind the system saving them from some added embarrassment Speaking of Darvish..my god, has he been shit with CHI..you may have been right on with that one, brother
Honestly, I wasn't necessarily predicting Darvish would suck. I was just saying I didn't want him on our team. It's like if you hired Michael Jackson to perform at your kid's birthday party and then you find out he molested your kid... you probably shouldn't invite him back the next year, even if he would put on a hell of a show.
