Funny, I don't exactly what your point is, but if anyone could manage that, it would certainly be Joc Pederson. Yup.

Three huge "thought they were going to help immensely, but are useless or stinking up the place beyond belief" by the FO:
Hill...lol. That's all you can do about this fop.
Utley...so far, it looks like this is like his swan song year.
Romo... His glory years steadily fading into memory.
And I was down with Hill to a degree, wanted Utley back, made nauseous by Romo inked, and felt good about the FO generally, for the first time.
Should have maintained my stance like Darth did, who never waivered in his Nerd excoriations.

Yep I mean I think Adrian or Puig ends the game anyways but that doesn't take away from Turner having zero excuses and all the blame for that. He makes quite a few stupid plays on the base paths. AND I'll add, as you mention puig, at least Puig makes up for it on the base paths sometimes when he makes mistakes. Turner and some of these other guys will never have good plays on the base paths so it's high risk low reward for shit like that

Generally, a lot of disappointments so far this year. Imo.
I think the lineup will either get it together, or suck like so far. Obviously. Bringing up whatever saviour isn't the answer in itself...too many holes and weaknesses. We've had plenty of " phenoms" come up and nothing really changes.
The SR always was a problem...sticking fingers in ears and loudly saying " la la lala lala la" doesn' t fix it. Nope. Running out of wound gauze...
The bp needs to eject the Hatcher flotsam, probably Libatore asap, and we'll cringe when Romo is brought in.

Turner fucked the dog royally, but he made a good read advancing to second on the ball in the dirt.

Agree that he's had his share of base running misadventures.

Yeah...I think we all know he was on that ball in the dirt that Posey didn't handle cleanly, and made a nice move to get to second...makes it all the more frustrating that you very shortly after end the game on being in a place where it wasn't necessary to be at all.
Anyone scores on that from second. You score on a base hit with normal lead.

We have gotten a huge boost from beating up on weaker divisional opponents in the past but the Rockies/Dbacks have gotten a lot stronger and the Giants will always be a tough opposition for us. The only weak link left is the Padres.

And the Dodgers in the NLW now.
Elite is as elite does, I guess.
Second place behind the winners is just first place of the losers.
A silly, little place to be in really, especially when you spend more than anyone else not to be.

I'm sure they know they're in a 4-17 stretch in that place too..the record surprised the hell out of me, but couldn't have surprised them..not when they're the ones out there getting their asses handed to them on a consistent basis. So they know it, and yet they still can't put their foot down and stop it..the worst type of ass whoopin. They need to man up.

If you can't put your foot down, be tough, and whip this lackluster SF team in their own park, why should anybody believe you're gonna put your foot down and stop fumbling in the post season? Roberts better do something..you can win 3 divisions titles in a row and get canned by LAD, this much is proven, so you can probably win manager of the year and lose your job soon after as well. Especially if Utley has interest the position, and many are touting him as a future manager..have seen guys like Ausmus walk right into a job without experience. It can happen. Sound the alarms in full if they don't get it done tonight behind Kershaw. They may lose this series, but they'd better not lose tonight.

Bellinger is getting called up! Excited. (But also worried that the corresponding move is a serious injury to a good player?)

Anyways, excited to watch him. Won't think of him as a savior but could help!

my guess is to take joc's place
groins are tricky (no homo) and can be reaggrivated easily if not given time to heal

Sure, but why not call him up yesterday when Joc went on DL? If Joc's injury got more serious, that's bad news. We need him in CF since Plan B isn't good.

But if it's maybe just to send down a bench bat, put Adrian on the DL with a phantom injury, or SVS is hurt... I'm excited

I also don't think they'd call him up unless he's getting regular at bats so it's gotta be a starter who is hurt

Bellinger is coming up to play the outfield. He'll rotate between LF and CF with Joc Pederson on the DL.

Haha, awesome. New the guy would get his first shot as an OF. Way more versatility and good for his future earnings.
He can always go back to 1B later on in his career.

I'm excited but there is a corresponding move to the 40-man roster. Anyone have a scoop?
