Yeah CB´s defensive versatility makes it so that his presence brings at least some heat to a large group of guys on the 40 man roster. Time to man up..don´t let this kid come in and out-pro you, brodies.
Pretty good for excitement, but I still feel tonight is a must win behind CK. 4-17 in SF in the last 21...Smh, shit´s still outrageous, still mad. Show some nuts and whip this SF team 8-0 in their place tonight. This game better feature some World Series caliber ABs and hustle from LAD, and not any ¨ CK´s on the hill, let´s score 2 runs and call it a night ¨ Play like you enjoy being a Dodger..Cody Bellinger damn sure does.
Yep. Gonzo is better than his .266 today and even that is a typically clutch .266... a slow clutch bat. But.. 1B... that's where you put stud Goldschitt type bats
I am super excited to see Bellinger come up, but I am going to also look at this knowing that this kid is far from a finished product. This is not like Seager where it was "HE'S READY, GET HIM THE FUCK UP HERE". This is, "Ok, we are fucking terrible right now and he may be the best option we have at this moment." He is crushing the ball in AAA, but he is also K'ing at a high rate still and is only 4 weeks removed from looking extremely overmatched against big league pitching. I could see him come up and put up some solid numbers, but I am also not going to freak out if he comes up and struggles. The good thing about Cody is he has shown that he will take his lumps, adjust and fix the things that have plagued him(for the most part). The problem is, this is no longer MiLB where he would go into prolonged slumps and continue to get the chance everyday to correct it, before fixing the issue and tearing things up for a couple of months. I could see the team going, "alright, let's use this opportunity to get him big league AB's. When Joc is ready, we send him back down with a gameplan on how to make adjustments." I hope I am wrong and Cody is here to stay, but he is also very likely to be a kid to get a quick cup of coffee to gain some experience before coming back for the home stretch. I really hope he makes me eat these words.
Little known fact, Gehrig was an up-and-coming SS in the Yankees system but when Pipp got hurt they decided to give Gehrig a shot at 1B.
Ebiner is the one sent down. Still seems odd, would it not have been better to just call up Bellinger yesterday and not even waste an option with Ebiner?
It does not waste an option for Eibner as he already used his for this season when he was originally sent to AAA. An option is only used once a season, hence some guys going up and down 5-6 times in a season.
