    But for serious though, he was listed as a SS once in his career. He led off the game and was listed as the "SS", but was replaced when his team took the field.

    Seems as though somebody fed you a good one, brodie. Definitely my 1st time ever hearing that one, and it is pretty ridiculous on it´s face being that like @irish said, Gehrig was left handed..how does that even work? Gehrig´s on record having only played 1B for Hartford, the NYY´s minor league affiliate. And then I know for sure that Gehrig pitched and played 1B for Columbia in college.

    I think somebody hit you with a fantastic Charlie Murphy true Hollywood type of epic tale..¨ lefty Lou Gehrig was an up and coming SS who fed everybody pancakes after he beat them in baseball. ¨ Lol
