lol way to keep your team focused by putting yourself ahead of them selfish much? Eddie Matz @ESPNeddiematz 27 minutes ago Dusty Baker: "I'd like to be the first African-American manager in the Hall of Fame."
even better... Eddie Matz @ESPNeddiematz 40 minutes ago Nats skipper Dusty Baker on Dodgers rookie manager Dave Roberts: "He's always a pleasant guy, he's a very bright young man, but he's in the way."
small sample sizes, but we haven't done well against either of them meanwhile the nats are 13-for-25 against hill .520/.556/.920 making game 1 that much more important imo
And this is why Dusty has never reached the promised land and wears out his welcome before he gets another chance.
Are those stats against Hill even recent? He's been primarily an AL guy during his career, so without looking I assume most of those 25 ABs are against the same couple of guys. He's also a completely different pitcher this season, so if those ABs are pre-2016 I wouldn't put much weight into it.
God I hate Bay Area radio. Already talking like the AssGnats winning is a foregone conclusion. I don't care what they've done in the past, and I despise the Mets too, but I really hope the Mets beat up on Hillbilly and kill the AssGnat's post season.
good points and i dont know tbh just went with his career stats vs wash hitters http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/6321/rich-hill
I would not feel comfortable if I were them. They just swept a Dodger team that obviously didn't care about winning. They are still a bad team, and sure they could win, but I don't see them as favorites vs the Mets.
Is Greg Kihn still deejaying up there, pretending that "Jeopardy" & "Breakup Song" are still fresh hit tunes?
Actually I don't know. I don't listen that much to music radio anymore. Mostly news and sports. Yes, I am one of those
dont know about the rest of you but i'm already getting anxiety about game 1... and its still days away
Really concerned about the spirit in this squad. How did we fail to eliminate the hated ones? Back in the day we would have punched Will Clarks sack and pissed on Juan Marichals shoes. Where is the heart?
If they bow out in three, they are heartless .... if they beat the Nats, then who gives a damn. I halfway hope LA faces Frisco in the NLCS. That way, we put several curses to bed in one series. I'd relish the sight of Bumgarner hanging himself on his cleat laces in the clubhouse at THE HOUSE THAT ELSTER BUILT ...
I'm getting Game 1 anxiety too. It might lessen a bit if the Mets eliminate the Gnats, but I really want Kershaw to shine, our bats to get hot and get Game 1 in the bag.
Last year I put $200 on the Mets to soften the blow when we choked. Going to do the same this year for the series. I'm not nervous at all. Like Ronald Speirs said, Accept the fact that we've already lost, loose the hope. Once that's gone you can function how you're supposed to function. Anything extra, kick back and enjoy.
