Well ,HR Joe wasn't so bad today. He kept the ball right where he needs to, about mid-thigh down in the zone, and although he's never really a mystery to an opposing team (except the LAD), he was OK--way better than we've seen so far. The game almost wound up in pathetically historic manner for us, and really , who didn't think it wouldn't ? I guess there was something wrong with Kenly Jansen, but IDK what it was, that could be the only reason Beli finished. Unknown. If he didn't put him in because of him getting scrambled the other day, then what does it say from your manager? Must have been another reason. A win is a win, and Hanley continues as a most productive RBI man in the lineup. Great bat. But there is one thing I don't ever want to see...sorry to those who think the guy is omnipotent: when the chips are down and we are on defense, I don't want to see it hit to SS. Hanley is just scary , IMO. Fucking frightening. And also: The more I see the quality of umping, the more I see the game is in their hands. Tolleson, although clocked, got squeezed horrifically. It went downhill from there. They are changing the whole game. Why is it you hardly ever see the Fox Box on Dodger broadcasts? WTF are they afraid of? You see it with every other damn team. Sad that this overall incompetence is in control of the game to the degree it is...with zero balls from Torre, and gushing announcers who could exert at least some pressure for something to be done, instead of making droning excuses for these prima donnas.
Kenley was out cause of heart problems. No idea as to how long it will affect him. That just sucks...
You mean today, is that it? Because what I see when Wright comes in lately, isn't what I'm looking for in a RP, for sure. And hitting the batter on the ass with 3 RISP like Choate isn't inspiring, either. Belisario's arm will fall off soon. They'd better bring up a whole lot of pitchers come Sept.1. Unless TGJr learned how to pitch down there. Is it now that Kenly is a question mark and so is Guerra? At least League is looking better.
Good to finally get a W but good god, almost blowing a 9 run lead? I'm just glad to get the hell out of coors field and away from the vaunted Rockies lineup.
Tolleson got squeezed, and BABIP'ed, undoubtedly, not to mention Coors. I'm not too worried about him. Elbert being hurt sucks, but hopefully that means Guerra comes back. As much shit as we gave Guerra he's at worst our 4th best reliever.
That sucks so much donkey cock it isn't even funny. I really hope the dude will be ok. Without Chad and Jansen we are in shit shape pitching wise.
