i don't dislike any of our guys and i think its fair to say we're all probably a little spoiled from having vin vin never included himself with the dodgers always showed neutrality and reverence i don't like when any broadcaster says we/them and orel is not the only one, and there are others that are worse my biggest gripe with orel is that and that he sometimes talks too much while saying nothing he also overexplains things -- things that even the most common of fans would know -- which comes across condescending like explaining a joke... if you have to do it, it doesn't work again, there are others who are just as bad/far worse i like davis and nomar my only beef with steiner is that he makes a lot of mistakes but i cut him some slack because he's like 150 and reminds me of morrie from goodfellas
A point well taken, but I could say the same about Vinny ( since you brought him/ it up). How many times did he repeat stuff over and over and over...and explained it away rarely. If he did, it was "because people were always tuning in at different times he said, so maybe those tuning in in the fifth inning, didn't hear what he said in the second"(or whenever). I never bought it, but as the best, it seemed valid to do it all the time... for years. Even before he got older. Not every fan is on a Dodger website every day, and watches 162 games+ every year like we lunatics here do, let's face it. Examining minutia, stats and micro-shit.
