What a great game! Had a little bit of everything. For those upset about the trade deadline, Alex Wood and Pereza seem like legit major leaguers. Was a good score I reckon.
Latos and Johnson leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Loving peraza so far, and wood is interesting. I think oliveras future performance determines the victor of the deal but dont forget about avilan too!
Pereza is essentially Dee Gordon with slightly less natural ability, but slightly more baseball instincts IMO. Only time will tell his true contribution to the Dodgers, but there's a chance this guy can be a solid lead off type player. One, we are actually lacking, and have done for some time. Will need to fugure out how to get on base though.
Won a series against a > .500 team? Doesn't count. Not sure how you can be so pissed at Latos (our #5 starter) keeping us in the game vs. Jon Lester? He was fine for what he is.
Vin Scully coming back for his final season in 2016 is fucking great news. I think MLB needs to have Vinny call the games in the post-season in his final two years if he'd like to of course. It's going to be a sad day in baseball when he retires.
