I mean, were we bidding against anybody? I know a couple teams were interested but I find it hard to believe anyone would give 40+ to this guy. I know we're rich now and all that but he better be good

It was reported a team offered more money but probably more years and didnt include the opt out clause.
We structured it really similar to Soler.

After 3 years I believe he can enter arbitration if he feels he can get more money.
If he does believe so, then that means he likely would have been playing better than his price tag.

::edit:: Just saw BG said the same thing lol

It was said that we didn't even have the highest bid so there's that to think about. I just think more than anything, no matter how any of us feel about it, it shows that the G-Heim Dodgers aren't fucking around especially internationally. Let's not forget all of those Dominican cats we just signed a month ago, too.

Regardless of what happens with this guy, it's refreshing to see us compete for something.

<fingers crossed> Ok then put him in the lineup against the Met's and let's see what happens already... there's plenty of open slots available in the batting order...

Logan meeting with him and working him out is a huge plus. I think it's a fantastic sign, it's not one they just used to get fans excited, and there's a chance this guy busts but there's a chance in two years he's starting In our outfield

Being tossed around numerous links. Supposed to start in AZ about the same time when they sign Corey Seager today or tomorrow.

    he's already on the 40-man
probably not a big deal and it could just be a part of the deal(that's a lot of money), but still cool

Good hearing that Logan/Dodgers have scouted Puig for years. Idk if it was fan speculation/bad journalism that just went out and said we didn't know shit and just made an offer. But if Logan likes it, I do too.
