    What does mean shit then?
It's like if a pitcher gets lit up like McCarthy, it means nothing...OK...so then, does Joc's raking mean anything? How do you differentiate between what does and doesn't? Or none of it does?
When does it matter? Seems it matters to guys who are on the fringe and trying to stay in the Show.
Because with that shitload they paid McCarthy, he sure is gonna be out there every 5 days...
I kinda read the same thing every ST, that it means zero.
Might as well do PT then for a month.

Nothing means nothing unless it's what you wanted
    then it means everything and
    everyone's objection means nothing
    Clear?

i think its somewhere in between
i remember several years ago scott erickson was something like 7-0 for us in the spring with sub-2.00 era...
and then was so terrible once the regular season began that we cut his ass
    but i digress
i think mccarthy will be better than haren
but i do believe joc might be something special... seager and urias too

I think McCarthy and Anderson are going to be valuable pieces down the stretch. I especially like Anderson.

@CapnTreee ...remember, Arrieta sucked donkey balls in that same game. Gonna throw him under the bus too?

@carolinabluedodger not really looking to throw anyone under the bus... but... there is plenty of room under there

You have to take these spring performances with a grain of salt, they matter, but you can't look too much into it. Uribe has stunk, Howell has stunk, Puig has stunk, and a lot of the younger guys are doing well, rest assured that won't be the same in the regular season.

And all of those guys are veterans, so you tend to care less about what they do unless you're expecting them to have a slow start and they don't.

Joc is obviously a rook trying to win a job, so it does mean something for him..it means it's showtime.

It means that his stuff still looked good, it looked sharp. If Joc was 0-15 but still having good AB's and stinging the ball, then I'd say the same thing.

Kershaw hit in the jaw with a looping broken bat line drive. Stayed in the game and looks to be okay
