    i really wanted morrow re-signed
    even though the cubs overpaid, i was still disappointed
    2 yr/$18M...
    definitely sounds excessive for a guy who didn't make MLB roster out of spring training in 2017
    but it would look like a pretty re-signing w/kenley on the shelf indefinitely
    hindsight 20/20 and all, idgaf
    i'm pissed off, whether it's rational or not

    In general, I prefer these types of people, not just ballplayers. They sometimes look as if they don't care because they are not trying to get you to think about how much they care. They don't bullshit you with fake 'care'. Instead, they give pure effort and live with their shortcomings and own up to their mistakes.
    I would rather work with a flawed individual that cares about doing a good job than someone with a full complement of skills but that could care less about anything other than the timeclock and looking like he cares about doing a good job.
    I used to work with a guy whose favorite thing to say whenever I asked him about a problem with an order was "SHIP IT!".

    That is fair but he's on the DL for the 2nd time in a month and 1 of those times he went because he got hurt putting on pants! He's may not last the entire contract but we sure could use him right now. The way things are going right now he would be on the DL here for who know what.
