Someone will have to go with KCP. My guess..of the guys that aren't rumored in the latest offer to the Pels..both Hart and Javale. Have to in order to make the financials work. And personally, I don't mind it. KCP/Hart/Javale for Jabari seems like a lot for Parker on it's face, but I would imagine they have Wes Matthews and Deandre Jordan waiting in the wings to replace those guys. Oh and Jabari's cap hold is $26M. Sort of a smooth way of buying more cap space, which they could use if they take on Hill from NO
Deandre/Zu AD/Parker LeBron/Melo Wes/Svi ..need a couple guards here, Jamal Crawford gets bought out, probably an option. Andre Ingram, come on down Lol
Couple former Laker guards are also buyout candidates. Jeremy Lin and Jodie Meeks Also looks like Ariza will be a buyout candidate
pelicans are going to hold onto davis until after the season according to sources makes sense for them since then they can hear out everyones deal
Feels 50/50 as far as the milking goes. If it doesn't get done, LAL is reportedly out of it period and won't get involved in a bidding war for AD this summer, will focus on the FA group. Which probably wouldn't be good for NO's leverage at that point since they think that somehow Boston is going to give up Tatum for an AD rental while Kyrie is likely walking out the door at the same time. That LAL made their best offer with 3 days to spare, I don't know that they're willing to wait until the 7th for the Pels' decision here. Would imagine they want a deal in advance so that they can reshape themselves, maybe make another trade or two
What else are they supposed to say right now Yeah Lakers, you got him. Not if they are supposed to make the lakers pay the most. If I'm Demps I tell Magic, i don't wanna hear shit until 2 mins before the deadline. You know what i want bitch. All of em and picks What do the pelicans have to lose by keeping AD? Even if he refused to play out this year, they sucked and were basically irrelevant besides The AD Show anyway. If magic dont give up everything, his offer won't get worse in July
For a player that's battled the injury bug a bit in his career? One of those 12-15 month injuries clouding his future would be considered a loss
He looks like a disaster now, idc what anybody says. Dude is gonna disappoint the fuck out of the team that expects him to be a 2
Can happen to anybody. And think of Cousins' situation and how untimely it was. Why we hear of the Pels mulling over shutting AD down..which the player's association will have none of. Pels think they're shit now. Shut down one of the game's premier players who's represented by now one of the game's premier agents and see what happens. May as well just sell and move to Seattle.
Fall I think you got something there. If NO doesn't trade AD to the Lakers before the deadline, and what is reported is true that LA wont get into a bidding war in the summer for AD then they lose all leverage over the Celts. Who else other than the Lakers and Celts have the picks and young kids to offer in a package. If the Lakers are out of the bidding there is really no other team that will cause the Celts to offer Tatyum in any package.
Makes every bit of sense for NO to move now. Except one thing..these sorry ass small market owners and execs are in Demps' ear and colluding to stop this shit from happening. Same old story. I feel like LAL's only hope could be Gayle Benson stepping in and just being like " enough ". She's already said her piece about a month ago and nothing since, but I imagine a well placed call from Jeanie could get Benson going again.
Magic stunted the league. Forcing Ainge to promise Tatum and the rest of their warchest for AD. Only for AD not to re-sign with the Celtics because of how they treated IT. Lakers meanwhile gonna stock up on these cheap vets coming up in the buyout market. And free up expiring contracts like kcp javale and Beasley to trade for an impact scorer dogging it elsewhere.
