fucken lemmings... "oh yeah, let's stand behind the guys who've helped get us off to the worst start in mlb." how bad a start?... the astros are laughing at you -- the fucken astros! hilarious you want to keep gibson and towers, fine you idiots all deserve each other but don't get upset when we shit in your pool this year bkitches D-Backs Players Standing Behind Towers, Gibson By Charlie Wilmoth [April 26, 2014 at 8:46am CDT] The Diamondbacks' players are rallying behind GM Kevin Towers and manager Kirk Gibson, Jack Magruder of FOX Sports Arizona writes. "The kind of start we got off to, I don't know if you can explain it other than we have just played horribly," says third baseman Eric Chavez. "It's completely on the players. We take full responsibility for our lack of production on the field. We have to get it done in here, in this clubhouse." Earlier this week, catcher Miguel Montero told MLB.com’s Steve Gilbert he would be "disappointed" if Towers or Gibson were to be fired. The Diamondbacks are off to an 8-19 start, which has led to speculation about whether Towers and Gibson might lose their jobs. As FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal recently pointed out, though, there are obstacles to firing them now — there are few internal candidates to replace them, and firing a GM six weeks before the draft can be disruptive. _
Well, I don't expect them to say anything else. You're not supposed to bash your superiors to the media. This is on the owner to realize the GM has a terrible vision. But then again, this is a guy who bitches and moans that other team's fans are wearing their colors and sitting behind home plate. That FO is made for each other.
I wouldn't "lol" at this. The dbacks are taking credit for playing like shit. Haven't heard that from the dodgers bullpen or offense.
they're good soldiers/company men sticking up for their leaders, both of whom have been rumored to be on thin ice early last year when we were stinking it up, dbb was in a similar situation and our players backed him
If Towers was a good GM, a lot of these players wouldn't have major league jobs right now. Of course he's a good GM in their eyes.
