    It's so damn frustrating.

If the Lakers had 27 years of futility, they'd have people's head on a stake. This looking down the road BS is just that.

People just don't seem to remember when the Dodgers meant WS appearances, WS wins, and kicking the gnats while they were down.

Why has it gotten so acceptable to "be just ok"?

I understand the original move of getting Peralta, Johnson, some of the other bullpen guys. What fucking KILLS you is keeping them or letting them get high leverage innings way after the fact that they've showed they shouldn't be there. At that point, it's managements fault. You gotta cut your losses and you can't expect a player to magically get better at some points. Peralta isn't going to gain velocity or sharpness or stuff. He's old, yeah, it happens. But keeping him around is idiotic. and letting Jim Johnson get high leverage innings at this point is dangerous. Give him some mop up innings or something and let him show he can be trusted then you move him up.

This is what fucked us in the Ned years, and letting that shit repeat is horrible.

Kike needs to start. Probably will start at 2nd if Howie goes to the DL. Call up Seager and sit Callaspo on the bench.

Lol to think I was rooting hard for the Pirates to win the Central because I thought they'd be a lot easier than the Cardinals

Both would beat the shit out of us in a playoff series

maybe I'm too optimistic and I've said it a lot already but I really believe Bolsinger and Frias would be great options in the bullpen. Frias is hurt but Bolsinger came out of the bullpen today

But why we would we want Price. We got Wood who can go 5 and get us to our bullpen. Plus we got to keep our 3rd, 4th and 5th best prospects

What the hell worth is it to not trade supposedly untouchable prospects for proven SP and not call them up and give them their shots? Is management afraid they've really screwed the pooch and find out they're no good???

He was really good as a #5. That curve is dank. There is zero reason to have peralta on this team at this point. Why not Mike? Frias is intriguing but I really believe bolsinger can help us out

Oh....who would want Price? Geez, that would have been a huge mistake.

No Price for me. We need to be thinking 10 years into the future.

I understand that this series is frustrating but I disagree with a good portion of this. This post will be really received poorly, especially since the body isn't even cold yet, but I don't think the bullpen is very bad, well, not nearly as bad as last year. Obviously Kenley is Kenley, Johnson and Avilan both in all likelihood level out as average pieces, assuming JJ isn't hurt, and between Nicasio, Baez and Yimi any one of them can get hot for a month and just dominate the stuff they have. Peralta obviously has nothing left so I can't defend that.

In reference to Mattingly, I definitely can see the argument that he should've pulled Johnson, but he obviously fooled Marte and got unlucky, and Cutch pulled a pitch on the outside corner through the SS/3B hole. So, either of those could and should have been outs, and we'd be signing a different tune.
