    In my anger filled posts earlier vs Mattingly, I feel like I should direct some blame vs Zaidi/Friedman/Kasten. We've had a glaring bullpen problem for a long time and it was unrealistic to expect the bums they brought in to be the solution. Then on top they trade away a young arm like Withrow, DFA League, who would have been better than this junk, Paco gone too. Let Miller go to the Yankees, could have gone and gotten a Chapman, or Mark Lowe, Soriano and Franky K were there for the taking in the off-season. They dropped the ball.

    Yeah it is...this and that 15 run Met abortion are two days of infamy in LAD history.
    I can see guys giving up runs (WTF else does Johnson do ?), but leaving him in when the score was 6-5 (I guess he didn't give up enough already at that point for asshole Mattingly), was pure, unadulterated idiocy.
    We still were in it at that point, and he could have made some kind of move. If he don't want to manage and give the team it's best shot available, then get the fuck out and go back to Hoosierland.
    How the FO can look at that, and not be appalled, is beyond me.
    He's got a lot of shit in there to use, it's true...but he doesn't have to rub everyone's face in it like he did tonight.

    man some people don't understand the whole long term investment thing, huh? the team doesn't work off of "this fan hasn't seen us win a WS in 27 years so let's do all we can do to screw the future so we can increase our chances from 10-11% chance of winning this year." I know the drought sucks, but they can't be short sided and they aren't, we've seen this strategy fail time and time again.
